sillywabbit said:There's a cafe down the road that makes wonderful blueberry waffles. Being in Maine, we have lots of good blueberry recipes.
I'm craving a big high carb breakfast for some reason this morning.

YUM!
sillywabbit said:Ooh, a fellow Mainiac. Are you anywhere close to the Freeport area? The cafe I was refering to is the Freeport Cafe.
Angeline said:That would be a hike for me--I'm in Orono. But there's some great places here, too. Ever been to Ampersand? They make wicked good blueberry muffins.
sillywabbit said:C'mon over guys, and bring a few of the ladies with you. I have eggs, coffee, bacon, all that stuff. I'll cook for the whole lot of ya.
it's leftovers. and it was gooood.sillywabbit said:That's not what I would call breakfast food.
And to think, you've criticized my eating habits in the past.
sillywabbit said:I think I may have talked to you here at some point in the past...I am a UMaine alum, class of '93 and '96. Ampersand is da bomb.

leftover Chinese is good too. But don't knock the cauliflower till you've tried it. 'specially if I've made it.sillywabbit said:If I have leftovers for breakfast, it's gotta be chinese food. Sorry.
Angeline said:You're right--I think it was shortly after you came to Lit. Governor's makes really good blueberry pancakes/waffles, too. I'd go there today, but not sure I want to brave the sea of seniors chowing down at Gov's after church...
My daughter's coming here (from Philly) for a visit soon and I'm taking her to Freeport for the obligatory shopping spree--we'll try the cafe then.

I rock.

My initial reply was going to be “You’re palate has been tainted.” Because I am of the opinion that even though you (by “you” I mean we as a whole) think you may not like a certain ingredient, it is simply so because you haven’t had it prepared right. But well it's mean and I don't feel like being mean today.sillywabbit said:No amount of culinary magic on your part will make me like cauliflower, I regret to inform you. I know you rock, but the wabbit's palate is very picky and I simply hate cauliflower. Mrs. Wabbit has tried on more than one occasion to get me to like it, to no avail.

So I’m going to just reply with a “I’m sorry then”
