They had an interview on the 5 o'clock news with a semi driver carrying 104,000 lbs on a trailer that got away from him. He said it was pushing him down the mountain on the ice and he couldn't stop (makes sense.) He was so rattled that he said he called his superiors and THEM to come get the truck, because he wasn't driving it! LOLBitenips said:glad Im not driving the passes this wknd lol

Have a friend of mine who is an independent owner/operator...coming down Snoqualmie Pass with a double trailer on I-90 and couldn't figure why he kept seeing tail lights with no traffic in sight. Then it dawned on him that it was the rear trailer jacknifing. He said it scared him to death, but he rammed that rig into the highest gear and was racing at over 95 mph to keep it straight until he hit dry pavement. :shudder:Bitenips said:or worse *shudder*

When I worked with the phone company and then overseas with the Ag Dept...My days off were usually in the middle of the week, which is convenient, because you can make appointments and get things done without the massive crowds.Bitenips said:Thats good..hope you still have a great wknd even tho you have to work![]()

Hence, that is why I said when it was nice when I am SINGLE...LOLtonitits said:that part is true, but it makes it very difficult when you have a kid in school and you can never do anything together and working all the holidays!

tonitits said:welcome to the brats thread, be yourself!

He'd be in long pants here, too--still 35 degrees and a bit of fog burning off at almost 9am! LOLtonitits said:Good morning Brats! Hope you are all enjoying the weekend and that Sunday will prove to be nice for you. It is 43 now, windy and wet, yucky. The high is supposed to be in the low 50's if it makes it but dropping down to 28 tonight, brrrrrrrrr, and chance of more rain, that will not be fun to drive on it the morning!!!! Take care and snuggle up.
I have to go get my kid some long pants today! He is always wearing shorts and is very hot natured, however the jeans from last year don't fit him so we have to get him something to wear. I think ppl would frown down upon me if I sent him to school in shorts tomorrow!!!
