I decided to start a little thread about us people who are up all night a lot of the time. Main question of it being.... why can't you sleep tonight?..... or in general? ..... whichever fits well for you.
And I'll go first!..
Tonight... I have a whole lot on my mind, and each time I lay down I find myself just thinking non-stop .. not allowing sleep to overtake me.
In general.. and on a more serious note. Aside from once in awhile, I don't ever sleep through a night completely. The times when I do are usually when I have someone dear to me that I'm curled up in bed with.. that's something that hasn't happened in quite awhile in itself.
My sleep pattern mostly started because of reoccuring nightmares. They go about as far back as I can remember.. around 10 years old is about what my mother (one of my best friends) tells me. For a time.. I feared going to sleep, so I'd stay up until I could no longer. Sometimes when the nightmares come back..... I go back to this.. fearing sleep.
The majority of the time... my schedule is to always wake up every 4 hours or so, toss and turn, or get up for a bit. Because my dreams woke me up nightly for years like this, its always been the habit my body knows since.
So there are some of my reasons..... how about yours?
