For all of the Larger Ladies that are dressing up for Halloween or Samhain

That was the FIRST one I liked.... woooohoooooo

Thanks for the link! I have regular events that require interesting clothing, and it's been hard to find suitable attire.

Please do -- I'm sure you'll be able to get this gang applauding you, and that would be nice for us AND you. *smile*

Trying to figure out what I want first... might be that badgirl biker one...lol

Speaking of larger ladies, when I was a freshman in college, in 1976, I took an art history course. One of the young men asked the professor, "Why were all the women in old paintings FAT?"

The professor explained about different standards of beauty and beauty being culturally determined, and what's considered beautiful is usually whatever the rich are, etc., etc.

The young man took this all in and said, "But how could they have found beauty in a woman who's FAT?"

The (extremely skinny) professor said, "There's just something sensuous about all that flesh."

The young man was not convinced, but my respect for the professor went up (and I was super-skinny then, so this wasn't personal): it takes a certain breadth of mind to understand standards of beauty that aren't one's own. (Or maybe, given how skinny he was, it was his own.)

Now that I have an extremely plump girlfriend, I have to agree with my long-ago professor: There's just something sensuous about all that flesh. *smile*

True. The current Federal Guidelines are a fraud. Such thinness on a normal frame is unhealthy. You want to see healthy, fertile looking women? Check out Renoir. Reubens, though, was painting women who were drinking up to a gallon of beer a day because coffee hadn't yet reached Europe and the water wasn't safe. Lotta calories, that way. Just the thing before winter, IMO. ;)

Damnit, why do I have to find this place NOW when I'm under strict "No buying lots of new shit" instructions due to medically mandated diet.

Its just NOT FAIR

PS: I WANT the schoolgirl one, purely for the skirt, which I would wear to. death.
