I remember returning to the United States in 1976 after spending five years in Germany. When ever I came back to the states after a long time away I always went to a big chain store, hit the fast food, and watched TV. Trying to catch up on the current culture.
Everything was Fonzie. Fonzie cups at the burger joint. Fonzie dolls, Fonzie lunch pails. Etc, so forth and so on. I had no clue in the world who this dude was.
When I finally got to my next base, Loring AFB, Maine. I got to see Happy Days. I still could not understand the craze over this guy. I never did like that show. Sorry. I guess I was supposed to right?
