Font Colors, A Feedback Mystery On Literotica

We got a message today from a non logged in Lit users saying that the "links" have turned blue on the "story lists". The user says that the "links" were previously black and that the black color was easier to read.

If we had an email address or username for this feedback, I'd send them a message to find out where on the site they're talking about. Since I don't have any way to contact this user, I thought I'd ask if anyone here in the Author Forum has noticed any font color changes in the last few weeks. We're working on a lot of new features and updates, so it's possible that I changed a variable or CSS rule that caused a font color to change on one of the pages, either on the public site or in the User Control Panel.

If you have any ideas about this mystery, please let me know. :D

The last few days I've noticed that, if I open my public author's page, the stories show in blue for a split second before shifting to the normal layout. It's too fast to see exactly what it looks like.

Please tell us that the updates will include colors for visited links, like every other website in existence. It makes it so much harder to know what you've read before when the links don't change colors.

I use a custom CSS widget to make it happen now, it'd be great if it were a default action.

I see nothing on the new story list, but the works page does seem to load a little slow, and everything is in blue, and all scrunched up prior to the stylesheet loading. https://www.literotica.com/authors/RejectReality/works/stories

May be what the complaint is about? Perhaps they're timing out in the period where I see it all blue?

I also get a "Are you sure you want to delete ( empty space where something would go )" with a yes/no button briefly when loading the published page sometimes.

Far more obvious and long lasting when I have a crappy mobile connection. At home I rarely see it on Chrome, but it tends to show up in Firefox almost every time.

Yes, mine does that, for a flash. Momentarily like the old format.

The CP has been a couple of seconds slower to load these last few days, but other than that, seems okay. I'm using an Android tablet.

Font colors can be controlled by a broswer to override an existing CSS ... assuming those are still used.

Some browsers also feature a Dark Mode or Night Mode that turns sites into shit (like Amazon).

This is what they worry about, the color of the links.
As far as I can remember, the links have always been a medium blue with the same font as the rest of the text. There are sites where a link will be purple, I think, after it is clicked, but that is hardly a big deal one way or the other. I've never had problems coding the links or with the way they work here. In the forum posts, the links will be underlined which is nice but it's not a deal-breaker.

In over thirty years of enterprise software development, you'd be amazed at the minutia that has consumed hours upon hours of my time. The color of links has come up more than once. LOL
