Following and Followers

Do you follow? Why do you follow...? Do you take note of who follows you...and wonder why they do?



I follow a few people so that it flags up if they are online and I can go and say hello. I sometimes follow someone I think looks like fun to chat to to see if they are online at the same time as me before making an approach.



As for followers...I’m flattered when I am followed, but it puzzles me when I am ghosted, and the lady still follows me...its like an itch I cannot scratch!

I follow two types of people. Those who comment constructively on my stories and poems, and those I am close to in my chat room, Emily’s Escorts (Lesbian Ladies).

My followers are very largely made up from the same two groups.

I follow around a few folks because I enjoy reading their posts in lurker mode. Popularity icons that I decided are fun to read.

I don’t use it for anything other then that , unless I change my mind.

That works. I was being a smartass towards the OP in the thread, who's previous handle had garnered a bad reputation.

I don’t use the follow/follower lists for anything, really. But I have “followed” people I really like on this site. (Note: not being on the list does not mean I don’t like you, lol. I haven’t really “followed” anyone since just after the forum upgrade). There are a lot of folks following me that I’ve never seen before. I don’t really know what they are following me other than that I’m a mod.

I just looked at both of my lists.
The followers are folks I like and some of them have been off for a long time for various reasons. I appreciate them.
The ones I follow are people I like and folks I want to know more about or have learned a bunch about.

I was all excited when that feature was added. But, it was short-lived. People that I honestly thought were friends, people who had my off-line phone number and address, had their accounts set so I couldn't follow them. That pretty much killed it as far as I was concerned. If I happen across people in a thread that piques my interest, so be it. What else they do is none of my business.

I'm not sure the following mode is worth it. I think Ive followed about 5 men. And I don't know why anyone would follow me. It's not like I'm some young hot bimbo.
