Followers not showing up.

I got notification that grifen had started following me, but they don't show up in my list of followers. See screen shots below. Is this a normal time delay, or am I misunderstanding something, or is this a bug?

I won't display all my Followers, but this shows you where I'm looking.

Usually, that means they unfollowed you before you could check the list. They probably just misclicked and then corrected that mistake.

OK, the one I reported here happened on 12/30/24. Over the last two days two more people have shown up as beginning to follow me, and neither one shows up in my "Followers" list. Doesn't sound like misclicking anymore. Right? Other ideas?

I accidentally follow and unfollow authors all the time trying to remove stories from my To Read list when I'm reading on my phone. The icons are right next to each other and it is VERY easy to fat-finger them and hit the one you don't mean to. I wouldn't overthink it.

It may depend on the timing of database refreshes, though those are USUALLY only separated by a few hours. The most common thing I see is story scores. It might show up differently on my Author page than it does on my Control Panel for a few hours. Eventually, everything gets updated and the numbers match. Things get a bit wonky during this time of year as well.
