Retired Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn is looking to make a deal for immunity.
According to a Thursday Wall Street Journal report, Flynn told the FBI and congressional officials he is “willing to be interviewed in exchange for a grant of immunity from prosecution.”
Flynn worked for Trump’s campaign and was quickly appointed to National Security Advisor, with top secret access to classified intelligence documents. He was forced to resign after it was revealed he discussed U.S. sanctions on Russia with Moscow’s ambassador before Trump took office. Flynn has also come under scrutiny for his ties to Russian operatives and businesses.
WSJ said, however, that Flynn hasn’t been able to find anyone to agree to the deal.
“General Flynn certainly has a story to tell, and he very much wants to tell it, should the circumstances permit,” Flynn’s attorney Robert Keher said in a statement.
No reason to ask for immunity if you didn't do anything wrong!
Il Donald's regime will just deny him immunity and he will shut up. That's how it works right?
"When you are given immunity, that means that you've probably committed a crime."
Flynn has all sorts of fun quotes from campaign season in that vein. Hell, he led the "Lock Her Up!" chants at the RNC.
It's very ironic isn't it. How fast they change their time when looking at jail time?
Members of your own crew not following orders, Subordinates turning rat. Tony Soprano would be having another cardiac event.
Not much unity in this group. Every man for himself, definitely not the three musketeers
"Raw Story" is not to be believed. Here is their headline: Mike Flynn just notified Congress that he’s willing to testify in exchange for immunity: WSJ
But the story says only that he is willing to be interviewed. Even if everybody is telling the truth, there is a big difference between testifying and being interviewed.
This is one news story which I will be watching as it develops.
This may actually come to mean something and have real consequences.
Why would he need immunity then? These guys always circle the wagons first.
Because it's a felony to speak publically about classified information and ongoing intelligence gathering programs or capabilities.
Flynn, if granted immunity as his attorney suggests, will expose the Obama administration spying on the Trump campaign, federal judges, SCOTUS justices, political opponents, and prominent Americans as outlined by NSA whistleblowers Dennis Montgomery, and Willaim Binney. Stay tuned, some former administration people will probably go to jail.
You mean like Nunes did?
He revealed the existence of FISA investigations, which is against the law.

It was already in the public domain.
Looks like this thread is fake news as both Intel Committees said today that Flynn has not asked for immunity for offered any.![]()
