The experts guessed wrong this year. Ineffective towards the strains developing.

*developing*

That's pretty much how that always works with viruses, they mutate so fast. Yup. That's why I don't get them. It's purely based on logic. I AM NOT FUCKING PETRIFIED OF NEEDLES! I DO NOT PASS OUT WHEN THEY TAKE BLOOD! NO, /YOU'RE/ FREAKING OUT!

Spanish flu

I read that this morning. I'm curious to see how flu season goes this year.

In 1918 the Spanish Flu killed between 50 to 90 million people world wide, half the population of Europe at the time, along with WWI, a whole generation was lost. Most of those who died were between 20 to 40 yrs old.

GOOD START!

Bullshit! Bill Maher, Britney Spears, and Jenny McCarthy are hardly conservatives, those three pussies are out of your low info, low T, low intel, side of the tracks.

LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE!!!!!

:(

I got the 4 strain no preservative one which seems to help me even when it its the right strain. I very rarely get colds or what people normally call the flu but when I have gotten true influenza I am totally incapacitated so the shot was a better gamble.

Byron never got vaccines and he was a conservative ;) but he was almost never around people he didn't know who might be sick or small children. He shopped at night so he didn't even run into them at the grocery store.
He did get shingles once years ago and he thought that might not be a bad vaccine for me to get, although I haven't yet.

In 2009 with the swine flu (h1n1) most of the victims were mostly young healthy people unlike the hong kong flu in the late 68's. One of my friend's kid almost died from it, it was pretty scary.

I follow flu and infectious diseases pretty closely, I always have.
