What is your favorite flower and why?

Mine has to be Jasmine, hands down. They're pretty and OH MY GOD THE SMELL. Put anything remotely similar to the smell of Jasmine and I'm wet. :D

* handing a jasmine to Angel....

:p

Oooh JASMINE! *grins at Siren*

I like lavender too, VERY relaxing. I have some lavender bath set I got for Christmas. But nothing will ever beat out the sensualness of Jasmine. Mmmmm

* coming over for a bath at Angels.....

:p

There is a very rare flower - very beautiful... perhaps you've heard of them?

They're called angelsirens.

Absolutely my favorite.

If you turn them upside down they look like tulips and they smell even better ;)

Gardenia
It reminds me of my grandparents house when I was a little girl. It was surrounded by gardenia bushes and in the summer with all the windows open the smell filled the house, it was wonderful.

Gardenia has to be my second favorite scent. Mmmm I have this body butter that smells like gardenias!

Lookswise, I have to go with ... roses...very very dark roses are sexy ;) Now if only roses smelled like jasmine THAT Would be the perfect flower.

Damn those roses....

:p

Daffodils. They are like miniature suns, bright and cheeful and absolutely required in February.

I have jasmine all over my front fence; it is loaded with blossoms and very heady, even though it is cold outside.

Well, I hate to repeat what everyone else has just said, but Gardenias are my absolute favorites (but you will find lavendar and jasmine lotion on my shelf too :) ). If it was awarded just for looks, I love Peonies...they're gorgeous!

Oooh did you grow them yourself?

Only the jasmine; I have no luck with bulbs.

I got the jasmine in 1 gallon containers about three years ago; it's all over the fence now. There are two varieties: rose jasmine (blooming now) and star jasmine (later in the spring).

Tulips or Roses.

I have grown this gorgeous Dark deep purple Tulip and My Oh My, what a gorgeous flower.

Roses will always be deep in my heart as they were the flowers that I lay on my Grandmothers grave, and we were extremly close.

Deep

purple rose- id say black but i dont like what it stands forr. in deep purple i see erotisism- and i like the smell of a rose

My favorite flowers to be given are yellow roses. I know they're supposed to symbolize fading affection, but I've loved them since I was a little girl. Red or pink roses do nothing for me. I need yellow ;-)

Other than that I can never choose between hollyhocks or hyacinth. Some flowers are just the perfect blend of scent, sight, and sound. I love the way they look and the way their names roll off the tongue. Truly perfection in petals ;)

orchids---exotic! they smell good, and the shape of them is soo.... hmm undescribable.
I like sunflowers too---the little one's you find at the grocery store---it's nice to see something so sunny on a cloudy day.

Hmm.. Lilacs

Those are definately my fav. I used to have a tall bush of lilacs growing outside my bedroom window when I lived in New Jersey. I could just lean out my balcony and pick myself some.

The smell brings back memories for me.

Favorite floral scent is honeysuckle...takes me back to growing up in the South, muggy summer evenings, crickets chirping, bullfrogs croaking, dying for a gentle breeze to come through the window, then when it does, the faint scent of honeysuckle...or hot afternoons, playing in the woods, digging up stuff, picking blackberries, throwing stuff in the crick and sucking the honey out of the honeysuckle...mmmmm

Favorite flowering shrub has got to be the azalea, again, reminders of Grandmomma's house and the huge azalea bushes surrounding it.

Fave actual flower to grow? daffodils, tulips, crocuses...almost any bulb

Fave to look at? Roses..Mr. Lincoln or this lovely peach color beside my Mom's house, I've got a pic of a bud I need to get scanned so I can post, just gorgeous...

*passes Nitelight a tissue*

Mmm.. honeysuckle. My friend used to have those growing up her fence. We'd sit there and just drink the nectar. Yummy stuff, for those who haven't tried it. Simply heavenly.

Heck FeatherLight, you make it sound more appetizing than I did...why didn't I call it nectar? grrrr....
