So important and I love certain flowers.

What do you give your woman?

Me?

I'm a gardenias guy,the perfume leads to making love - its inevitable

I have loved since childhood, and still do love, tigerlilies. They are my absolute favorite flower, but not very practical when buying a bouquet. they look beautiful in a huge bouquet of mixed flowers though.

This thread just made me realize that I haven't gotten a decent bouquet of flowers in a loooong time.

I like roses but not the traditional red ones. I once received a bouquet of purple, white and pink roses that I really liked. My all time favorite flower is the iris though.

You know what I really like? Getting lilacs from my son :)

well, i havn't really ever bought flowers for a girl/woman. 6 months ago i'd have said "irises." they're her favorite. but not now. seems kinda odd to just give your (now) best friend flowers for no apparent reason when she's 3000 miles away.

I might be the only woman on Earth who does not like getting flowers. I think it is because I know that they will die, and I feel bad when they die. My man gets me books and I go giddy. He brought me a pretty leatherbound edition of Anne Sexton's poetry last week and I felt all swishy inside. He gets me booka alot. I like that.

I am weird. I don't like jewelry. I don't like perfume (i make my own oils and such) and I hate shopping.

The sexiest gift I have ever gotten:
A few weeks ago my man came home from a trip to Scotland and he had this waiting for me when I came home that day. He laid out an entire outfit he had bought for me. Not lingerie, but a nice, sexy dress he bought, with panties, bra, stockings, shoes, even the ear rings he wanted me to wear with it. It wasn't even sexual, just sexy and very sweet.

The smells of gardenias is absolutely intoxicating. When they start to look bad, you can float the petels in your bath to scent your skin. Lovely.

I'm partial to peonies as well.

I'm not won over by roses, but a single sunflower? Then you have my attention.

I get flowers on a regular basis and while I do love roses, my favorite is a bouquet of wildflowers.

I love roses.......esp. red ones....but also love the pink,
yellow, peach, and cream kind......very pretty.....

Also love "Gerber" daisies......they are so cute looking! :)

I'm not into huge floral arrangements, but sunflowers and yellow roses are absolutely beautiful!!!!

Sateema, I think that is cool. If you have something else that makes you feel loved that he can do for you, then that is wonderful.

I love when he brings me rocks. I know this sounds odd, but he has brought me some amazingly cool rocks he's found. I have a great collection in the house and in the garden. Yesterday I got two tortoise back flagstones for my garden. I think I am going to use the bigger one to do a bonsai on.

When I do get flowers, which is usually in Winter, I am a mixed flower girl. But since I make nicer looking arrangemenst than most flower shops, I just do up ones for the house, right out of the garden. I especially like arrangements that have tree cuttings in them... especially corkscrew willow, and some japanese maple. I love roses and lilies (day and asiatic), daisies and echinacea, tall phlox and delphinium, monarda and iris. All of the garden flowers.

I love English Roses though. So utterly romantic. 'Grahm Thomas', as pictured below, are a favorite. I can't get roses to grow in my soil, so I have to build a deep raised bed for them sometime. :(

I love flowers, especially roses and carnations. :)
Yes they are important but not as important
to me as the little things. Like having a bubble
bath run for me, holding me when I have had a bad
day, and when he makes me things like my candle
holders that he and I design together.

In the world of an allergy sufferer flowers don't work to well...So i just go out and wander aimlessly through the shops untill something catches my eye..Have not dissapointed my wife yet...On rare occasions i will get her flowers and suffer for a week for her:)

You are in heaven?

I'd arther be given underwear.

But if you must bring me flowers, make em tulips.

Please.

I adore flowers with a wild, unreasoning, intoxicating love. I love them growing and blooming in my yard, and in my neighbors yards. I love them springing up wildly on the sides of the road and rampantly through the vineyards and orchards. I love to have themin vases in my house, all over, upstairs in my bedroom and downstairs on my table and here, on my desk.

I like orchids. (Big surprise, hmmm?)

I especially like heavily scented flowers, too, like gardenias and roses - but more than those, i like scented flowers like freesia and sweet peas.

I love lillies and mums and daisies and huge cheerful sunflowers.

Oddly, i'm not really partial to yellow or orange flowers much, except for those sunflowers. I love red and pink and purple flowers, though - a lot.

I keep a very special place for those orange flowers, though. Both of my tats are of botanically correct California poppies, flowers whose brilliant orange color rivals that in any sunset you've ever seen in your life.

Oh yes. I'm all for flowers!

flowers are a definite plus in my book...a bunch of daisies and thats it i completely melt...

Yes, flowers are very nice. To those who get them all the time, they may become bored with them. For the rest of us, flowers are a nice surprise.

You can send me gardenias any time you want. :)
