This is for real. In Florida there is a senator who want's to creat a "Pay as you go" tax. This is a tax of two cents on each roll of toilet paper. The procedes are to go to building sewer systems for towns.

Oh I'm sure there willbe a lot of people complaining about this, using all sorts of arguments.

If it wasn't already taxed once then I coulod understand it, but it gets hit by the sales tax as well. This sounds almost like a sin tax.

I can see the argument though. Let's tax Toilet Paper, It's certain money. Everybody uses Toilet Paper.
