North Florida has the best beaches in the state. Welcome and enjoy!!Moved up the moving date. Will be in Pensacola the middle of October!!
I think each coast has their benefits and drawbacks. Like South Florida boardwalk night life, or East coast drive on beaches, or West coast cooler windy temperatures.North Florida has the best beaches in the state. Welcome and enjoy!!

I’m in the Tampa Bay Area, but not in a zone likely to be evacuated this time around. Worried about trees down and losing power, but we should be safe from flooding.I hope everyone is close to having their storm prep done - I got a whole bunch on the last minute, so I've got 4 hours to deal.
Batten down the hatches! Thar she blows!
Be safe!

I forget which one... but a hurricane came up the coast, went out to sea, and came back around and went across the while fucking state right thru Central Florida. They make WRONG TURNS!!!In Jacksonville so not expecting a lot unless it takes a wrong turn![]()
Thank you for the information. We will be looking to rent to start. Here's hoping that your house will still be there to move into. And I'm not being facetious. I got to talk to some people who were rebuilding in Mexico Beach - one guy had his house totaled by another house knocked off its foundation by the storm surge floated right into his!
Critical Lesson: Build above the BFE* and if you can't get one built to the 2004 Florida Building Code or after, make sure it has been hardened according to My Safe Florida Home specs. Post Cat 3 Storm studies by the University of Florida indicate they are the ones that don't blow down!
* BFE is Base Flood Elevation, not butt fuck egypt!
