Hello Floridians.


I hope everyone is doing OK with the storm so far. I just had one of the feeder bands blow through here and it was intense enough for me. I am not looking forward tonight and tomorrow.

I live in NorthWest Orange County so I expect to see it getting a lot worse before it gets better.

Strong winds and rain in the four corners area of Polk/Osceola County area at the moment. From what I can see (only two doors with windows that are not boarded up) looks like alot of roof damage and downed fences. The power has flickered a couple times.

Just talked to someone in Ft Myers and it is not bad down there. some wind gusts a little rain but no serious damage like you see on television.

looking t the radar it would appear that the worst is either over or close to being over there.

West of Orlando, seems worse today than it was yesterday.

West coast got substantial rain overnight. Winds were back to storm level but that should dimish today.

*comes limping in from a BAD 2 days*....

here I be...limping yes... got hurt yesterday while on a rescue caravan....some elderly ppl were stuck in an assisted living facility up here in Homosassa and the police came through our neighborhood asking if anyone was willing to help.....so off I went! Twisted my knee trying to help a man get a woman in a wheelchair through some mucky water. damn thing hurts!

we have partial power... none at home yet, but some at my studio, which is where I am now, catching up on email while my 4 yr old son plays quietly (yeah RIGHT) beside me, with my studio props

anyway,....we're being told we could be without power til the end of the week at home...so we're staying at Grandma's house...SHE has a generator!

There's no gas here, good thing we gassed up beforehand....and nothing is open for business. Some restaurants were open, but they closed them down due to some waterline breaks.

anyway that's the news on the westcentral coast....i'll be back as soon as I can.

You must not be too far from me. The weather was real bad yesterday, but has calmed down the occasional squalls today.
Glad to know there's someone fairly close to my neck of da woods!
