You are welcome to visit and apply for a visa for permant resident status pending citizenship :)

Actually, the plans [for the new country] are coming along well on this front, and we're currently running salt-water wave-impact vs. concrete deterioration calculations to figure out if the current plans are viable for at least a period of 100 years (including huricanes & storms). We're tentatively looking at probably a 15 to 25 year horizon before completition at this point (if it doesn't turn out to be a lark), although others have suceeded by utilizing existing structures (look up Sealand as an example). Our nation, of course, will be clothing optional, among other things.

Oh, such a glorious thing, to realize flights of fancy into possible realities... It all started as a lark, but the further it goes, the more we realize that it may indeed be possible with the right backing and engineering.

If you are really interested, you can get your foot in the door now by volunteering to do some of the ground work (research on international law, examining ocean depth/bottom type geography/location for site analysis, etc), which will guarantee you access... Then again, we hope to take all our lovers with us as well, so I guess there is an easier way for those so motivated.

Current plans include a hotel and business offices at this point, as a form of revenue stream to make the country self-supporting immediately upon completition. What is the value of the ability to conduct truly secure 'business' without having to worry about privacy, legal compliance, etc? And a place to vacation without the legal limitations of many other places? We envision a number of financial interests will want to consider territoriality there as well...

Hmmm, what would I have to do to get a business licence here. That is of course, after I have gotten my citizenship.
