I won't be heading out ... I live in an E building ... on the second floor of a concrete building.

You going to be able to get out Starry? I.e., drive?

may have to depending on how it goes. I am only a 5 min walk to water here.
We were ok for Charlie, no flooding even but if it comes in closer then bug out time. :p

Thank You I will yell if I need help. If need be I can call in my military family from Tampa.
As it is I have the computer, videos games, camp stove, food and clothes ready to load.
The SUV is empty except for the wheel chair and crutches since I am on the cane now. It all should be pretty easy actually.
I could just pop the pains pills and still be good to do it alone... :D

Ok ...

Because I get really good updates, here is the latest I received via email:

Ernesto is passing over Haiti and the Dominican Republic; it has weakened while going over land and has been downgraded to a Tropical Storm. It is next expected to travel over Cuba. Most predictions indicate that Ernesto will regain hurricane strength as it returns to water, either after leaving Haiti, or after leaving Cuba. After passing over Cuba, the various hurricane models diverge. The consensus model, shown below, has Ernesto making landfall just south of the Tampa Bay area, and passing through parts of Tampa Bay on Wednesday or Thursday.

Governor Bush has declared a state of emergency for all of Florida, and tourist have been ordered to leave the Keys immediately. A hurricane watch currently is in effect for the Keys.

We shall see...
We're working on that moving away from us. :)
My sister had the tom-toms going this morning after I called her and woke her up. We're American Indian and she has a great reputation with her prayer circle when they work on something like this.
Last year for Charlie she was out on the reservation when I called her. An hour after they started the ceramony, it wobbled.

Not to sound cruel but that may be the best place for a storm to go. Currently it has a low population density and not much left to destroyed.
