Slight breeze here too but it's not doing a bit of good. I'd be alright if my car had a/c in it. Ugh.....

Thanks for the welcome Sweetie & Explorer. A friend of mine is in Orlando for the summer ... says it's much younger than St. Pete and she loves it over there. So I guess there is a difference besides the breeze. Lol.

Happy Friday to everybody!

Ha ha ha ha . . . the average age in a retirement home is younger than St. Pete . . . but you do have Ted Peters.

If you like Mexican try Catalinas . . . amazing. It is just past the Tyronne Square mall, accross from Hops. Dog Water is there too . . . very good.

Hops is gone now. It's Shell Seafood (or whatever that chain is.) Are you talking about the area of Tryone & Park? Near Target & the evil Walmart? I'll take a look for Catalinas. What is Dog Water?

If you want authentic Mex. food...try El Maguey (or Marguey) on 66th just before the KMart. Very authentic. And inexpensive!

Been too long since I lived there to remember all the streets, but try Catalinas in the phone book - but you have the area right. Dog Water is a burger place somewhat like Hooters, but everything is served in a dog bowl. The fish is good too. Geesh - have you been anywhere in St. Pete? Habanna cafe?

AHA! You are just messing with me. There is no Dog Water Cafe in St. Pete. (Ok. There used to be but now the closes is in Largo.) :) As for Starlite ... I've seen it but never stopped in. I'm new to the concept of "no chain restaurants." So I'm only just now expanding my horizons. Besides I cook! More often than not.

And you should visit St. Pete sometime. Refresh your memory on what you are missing. This city convinced me city dwelling is not all bad. And that is quite a feat!

LOL! I can't guarantee it's still open. But it's still there. Another landmark.
