I had a minute so I thought I would get updated on the messages since the end of January.

I am near Ocala and my profile is pretty much correct, 51 MWM

Florida is more than a party place. For the last two weeks I have been planting a vegetable garden. It is easy to move dirt here because it is all sand. What would grow in sand? Damn near anything. Watermelon, corn, onion, carrots, squash, radishes, pumpkin, peas, beets, lettuce and palm.

The most difficult is digging up the tree stumps (anyplace that has not been cleared has either trees, stumps or swamp.

I don’t think there is a set of set rules but the Moderator will help guild you to other people of the same interest. That I hope is the case! I make it to Citra a lot and Gainesville from time to time and Jacksonville as well. I like to drive most anywhere.

Sandy211, my first experince with Florida "soil" I was going dig a place for flower bed. I got the spade positioned where I wanted it, balanced it to prepare for the first assault, jumped on it with both feet, (this is how we had to do it back home) and buried that sucker right up to the handle. hehe, that is when I found out about Forida soil/sand.

I stayed at the very charming St. Francis Inn, it is also on the city tour as a historic landmark. And as we found out from the outside tour guide supposedly haunted LOL Don't think those ghosts were expecting us though cause I never heard them. Then again I was a little busy moaning.

Actually they are on the web www.stfrancisinn.com it is a very charming place and I love the updated tubs!!!

We stayed at the Kenwood Inn , super nice people but I'll look at the one you stayed. Do the homemade goodies for breakfast and wine in afternoon.

Yes they served a wonderful breakfast and started serving wine, beer and homemade snacks and things at 5:30 for an hour during a get together hour for you to meet the others staying there and chat if you liked. It was delightful!

No one complained about us and the only thing I heard from the couple above us (which turned out to be 2 Gator students) was footsteps. Supposedly the place is haunted. If it is I must have scared the ghosts!!!
