Florida is a bigger state than I ever thought was possible. I hate to compare it to Texas because it couldn't compare :) Californicate is a good comparison, many cities, a lot of beaches, warm in the south, citrus groves, Disney.

Those of us who are new here, don't know where the cities are in relation to each other. I wish there was someway to connect the people to the map. Maybe dividing the state into parts, like panhandle, Land o lakes, and everywhere else?

How's this...

Lot of great people here, enjoy!

it's all about priorities

Funny you should mention that Wintermute, as I myself am part-owner of an IT company down south near Miami. I too have put in long hours, though not quite as extreme as you've descibed. It's difficult to compose the words neccessary to verbosly elaborate on my own work ethic. Basically, I just feel that no job or career is worth the sacrifice of one's happiness- or the one they so care about. Don't get me wrong, however, I enjoy engineering, but some things I feel should always come first. Right now, some of my peers are prepping themselves for 70-hr work weeks at Intel. That's fine if you have no other love, but some things in life just seem a bit too unique and special in their own ways to pass them by. No, I wish it were a matter of being a workaholic, but I think I just need to keep on meeting more people.

I'm in a bit of a rush now, but I have an interesting thought I'd like to post next time.

Congrats Tantanah! :rose: Nice AV Too! Well choosen!

And thank you for the compliment on my phraseology. :D I'm in no way a lexical engineer but every now and then I can put a set of words together that doesn't make me sound illiterate and that’s all I can really ask.

Looks like I have some catching up to do. Only12 posts to go. :D

 :rose:

Congrats Wintermute!!!!! 100 posts!!!! :D I can't wait to see your AV. I'll be looking out for it.

Thanks for the map!

Now I know why I don't know where anyone else is located. I cannot even find myself on the map. I guess I am between Tampa and Ocala? But Land O' Lakes doesn't show.

I need something to do, this internet is awesome. I think there are some people who make it there life. Not me though, I work my farm everyday and sneak on here when I am cooling off in the middle of the day.

We all enjoy our little thread!! Hope you do too!

I love the avatar Wintermute! Conrats on hitting 100 hun. LOL next step is 300. Then 500 and you turn into a literotica guru, then at 1000 you actually get to create your own title.

Wow all of these new people, it's wonderful!!

Welcome to the Florida Directory Ogri and lymx4u.

To the guy getting his Master's at UF. Hun no one has any way of contacting you or knowing who you are if you don't register. Unregistered users can't even get a pm.

Uh... can I plead ignorance? :)

I was just playing on the pic and general boards.

:D

I'm here now, though. ;)

No strangers...

...just friends we haven't met yet.

Welcome to the board Porphry!

I think you will find the right level of kink you are looking for. :D

I'm just a wee bit south of you in fact, maybe 50-60 miles tops. Next time I get up there we should meet for a cup of coffee and a bit of conversation. I love meeting new people.

I saw your pictures as well, you are quite striking. What is it about the innocent looking women that seem to have this wild, sexual side? I don't discourage it, in fact I approve immensely, I'm just tantalized by the whole notion. :)

Again I bid you welcome and don't be a stranger. ;)

Thank you for the warm welcome. Yes, you have to be very careful with the "quiet" ones. Let me know when you're in town.

Late nights this week

I've been pulling a lot of hours this weekend studying for finals. Typically I don't have to turn in to a complete insomniac, but you have to put in the time to get a good grade here, no matter how good you are. So anyway, walking back from the school to my apartment around 1am, I noticed the rather peculiar night sky.

Actually, most people I know, including myself, are usually too busy to notice something like the evening sky. Something just possessed me to look up and think. It's not like any of us have never seen the sky before- we see it every day, much like the way we things all around us so often. But tonight the moon shone down upon my path a surrealistic glow from behind a hazy layer of clouds. And it is, in fact, the glow that created a shadow that so caused me to turn up at the sky and observe the cause of such a possibly fantastic image. Looking back down at the landscape before me, I very distinctly noticed how different everything can look in that greyish light. All of us have been in this scene, bathing in moonlight before, but unlike past times, the sight provoked the most unorthodox thoughts. It is difficult to put in to words, but I suppose each person in that same situation would find their minds drifting in to some place not often visited as well.

Forgive me for allowing my sober thoughts to seem like an allusion to an acid trip or something, but not all engineers read technical journals when they get home. But, I was just walking home and the sight struck a chord. Like seeing a sunset for the first time in Mallory Square ;), you never forget it.
