Thanks Sweetie. I need all the good thoughts I can get too. 5 weeks so far and if surgery then 2 more months . Never tear an achilles!

You are so right. I will probably miss this when back in Stupidville. I think if stupid hurt my life would have been much easier all along!

By the way my mom pulled hair since I used to be able to sit on mine. But you are all exactly right on the lack of parenting thing. Somehow I never got the memo that we no longer have to be responsible for our kids, our jobs, our actions.

Yikes! Good luck!!

I'm not sure when parenting ended at childbirth. I'm still trying to figure that out. I guess that will just make me a "mean mom" since I actually correct my kids. Oh well, they'll get over it. Ha ha This society has become so 'sue happy' it's crazy. We can thank that tard that spilled coffee on herself and blamed McDonalds for not labeling coffee as being HOT. DER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *sigh*

Already rained here with promise of more rain later on.

No rain here yet. But the clouds are forming south of us and the sun keeps playing peek-a-boo

great sea breeze here by the beach... no rain, few clouds, and I'm not allowed to go out and play. This is kinda like looking at the dessert menu and having your jaw wired shut.

I've not been to the beach for months, maybe this weekend or maybe after work (if it's not raining)...

That's just cruel and unusual punishment for you. :(

I went just this past weekend and stayed for an hour before we got kicked off due to the storms. Ugh.

I'll probably have to shoot for the weekend; it's raining now and probably will still be when I get off of work. *frowns*

And people vacation here, why? lol

OOOOO I know the answer to this one....

And people vacation here, why? lol

because it's not a corn field out there....
all sea and sand unless your into the whole "mouse house" thing inland.

That's another thing that irritates me. Parents aren't parenting anymore. I look around at these teenagers and their little attitudes and I KNOW we didn't act like this. I know this because my parents would have beaten my ass for talking back to adults. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr......

Jump in anytime!
yep..If I acted out like the kids today (damn we sound old) I would have taken a beatin' or three. Not that that is the answer. I believe if you set expecations early and oftern and teach them some manners kids thrive and are better in the long run. How do parents not realize this?

What's really scarey is up the street is a middle school with GANGS. I'm only 29 and I clearly remember middle school and I know we didn't have an issue with that. It all goes back to the upbringing. Parents take control!!

Yeah, that's where I am too. I avoid west Orlando as well. I talk to my friends out of state and they talk about how "cool" I-Drive is and I just cringe.

yep LOL. When I have freids in town I take them Downtown and show them how it really is here. In fact the only time I go near I drive is for the surf expo or as I drive by to go to shows at HOB

Exactly, it's downtown or nowhere. Every blue moon I'll go to downtown Disney to Pleasure Island but it's been a couple of years since I've even been there. I can't justify paying $20 to get in but then turning around to pay $8 for a beer. lol And HOB is the BEST place for shows in my opinion.

HOB is good for bigger acts, for smaller indie stuff I prefer the Back Booth or the Social. no ticket raper surcharges either. I hang out a Caseys on Central on occasion, The Lodge, I-bar...you know the drill...LOL

LOVE the Social for shows. So up close and personal. I'm usually a Church Street-er hitting Antigue (can't beat Ladies' 80's Nights) and Chillers/Big Belly/Latitudes. The last couple of times I went out, we went to Roxy's. Not as bad as I thought there. Sky 60 on Orange is cool and I also love 3-9 on Orange.

Now that we have named all the good hotspots in Orlando....lol
