I think it's like the times I've tried to vacation in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Every time I have has turned out to be motorcycle week there--every single time.

I once took my daughter to the Sturgis motorcycle rally when she was in college. Many people warned me it was a bad idea. Wild bikers, heavy boozing, fighting and all that. It was basically an AARP convention. Lots of retired couples, many of whom trailered their Harleys there. Grey beards everywhere. Many of them were envious of my Honda Goldwing which was way more powerful and comfortable. By 9:00 pm, the restaurants and bars were dead. The funniest part was the motel breakfast bar in the morning. Most of the guests skipped the eggs, sausage and bacon, opting instead for oatmeal, no doubt on doctors orders.

The bolded part above is the single biggest change I've noticed back when I lived near Daytona Beach, Fl (just a few short miles from the Ishmael "Fuherer Bunker Sud" Compound...small freakin' world!). It morphed from thousands of bikes roaring into Daytona to a phalanx of pickup trucks with Harleys on trailers.
 
Yeah man, I fucking hate that every time I try to have a nice quiet vacation in my quaint getaway in Sturgis, South Dakota, all those damn bikers show up. They should ban motorcycles from Sturgis. Then, I went with the missus to have a quiet evening in Times Square on New years, just a quiet, relaxing evening- and all these dang C-list celebrities and washed-up music acts showed up, along with all these screaming drunks. Whats' this world coming to, aahtellya.
 
Miami Beach is a wonderland for all tourists most of the year. Families and people looking to be a little naughty (or very naughty; we have that too).
Then the spring breakers come. They are not students, for the most part. The average age is around 30. They dine and dash. They defecate and urinate on the street and on the beach. They fight. They vandalize. They wreck hotels and shoplift from stores. They scream and curse and act like literal animals.
Easy for you people on this board to act so high and mighty when we have to live with it.
Fort Lauderdale has shenanigans, I suppose. MB is a wasteland when these people leave.
The difference: MB spring features all those those damned...Amish.
