I sit here this morning after trying to go to work...

The road out front has three feet of water in it. The frontage road has about two feet of water and the expressway has three. I am sitting here watching all the fools out there getting their cars stuck midstream as it were.

I have already called in and am now waiting for the sewer system to catch up to the rain fall. It's finally stopped raining so the streets should be clear soon.

Oh and my car has a leak somewhere...the passenger front floor has two inches of water in it.

Bummer, Zeb. I'm about to go to town and see what's happening with the river. Wish me luck.

Uh, Zeb, Houston doesn't have a sewer system for rain. They don't call it the bayou city for nothing.

The bayou's are the drainage system until hurrican season and then they back up from storm surge.

Well according to the News...the flooding here last night was even worse than when Ike hit. Although it has been kinda wet here for the last couple of weeks.

Everything in my area is back to high and dry. Was able to make a doctors appointment in and area that this morning had six feet of water on the road out front.

Supposed to rain again tonight...
