Flogging: give this a try

I was just watching a BDSM video the other day. In it this girl was chained to a cross and flogged. Nothing unusual with that.

What struck me (no pun intended) was the way the person using the flogger just automatically went into a full whack-whack-whack-whack. No warm up, no lighter strokes at first, no variation in speed. I was like, "hey that's no fun!"

If you're new with using a flogger, try it this way. Give a few light warm-up hits. Then start with stronger hits, then speed up a bit with still stronger hits and then speed up again and give even stronger hits. Don't overlap the areas struck anytime soon; that way the flesh is more sensitized where it hits. Watch the sub's reaction - I'll bet you get off on seeing them getting more and more turned on as the intensity builds.

In two of my stories (which haven't been approved yet) a flogger is used in one and a belt in the other. When I describe the tingling, warm rush the sub feels as the sting fades, I'm not exaggerating or making that up to make the story hotter. It really does feel like that when it's done this way.

Even if the sub in question is a total masochist and wants it to really hurt, doing it this way not only gives them that pleasurable after-burn but also teases them.

Try it this way once and see if you and the sub enjoy it like that.

I think both methods have their place and time. On the whole, we tend to go with the straight into the hardcore with no warm up, but we like it that way. From the flogger we may move up to the bullwhip or a variety of other sensations which require some teeth clenching to get through..and it always seems I want more just as he draws blood and starts to back off.

Yeah, both methods can be a lot of fun. I love the slow teasing build-up though, both getting and giving. But some of the more inexperienced don't really know about that, so I thought maybe one of them might find this useful.

LOL, we found something else we agree on ....ours is an energy release more often than not which is part of why it starts at 100%, but there is also pleasure which comes from that simply because that is how we are both wired I guess.

I do whatever I can to sustain a flogging, because it's my favorite.

I've moved away from always starting soft. For sensualists the "warmup with a deerskin flogger" has come to be expected, as though you are flogging *wrgng* if you don't deliver this.

I've begun using straps and quirts right off the bat, and breaking that up with flogging, or starting with a very powerful, knockingly thuddy piece, instead of anything "soft" then using the softer pieces afterwards instead. Or teasing and talking to induce the turned on state rather than any toy and then going into it full force. Whatever I can do to keep it varied and interesting for me, not just whoever I'm flogging.

To give a change of feeling, I have at times used rope to flog with. Not to be confused with rope floggers. What I am talking about is taking some rope (about 3/8" diameter) about 12 - 15 feet long. Double it and double it again. Hold onto the end that has the rope ends and one larks head. Swing it like a regular flogger and you can either hit with just the ends or lay some rope onto the back. But be careful, the ends can pick up some speed and swing faster than you think.

i would think that all the good sensation comes from being allowed to be on the receiving end of whatever the dominant has decided the toy of choice is at the moment... hard,fast ,slow, soft, warm up, or none.

An added variation which works wonders, but is heavy going, is to loop the strands of rope as for storing ......hmmmm, he has a certain way which probably has a name I am unaware of where it becomes a series of coiled flat loops to form a solid mass. Once the rope is looped over and over in this way, you have a very thick and heavy implement with which to flog which has both thud impact as well as the pain aspect to it.

LOL, I am sure you are very expert!! And yes, it does pack quite a wallop, and can sort of knock the wind out of my sails if I am not quite expecting something of that force/weight.
