This may be the stupidest how to thread ever started, but hey it is 4 in the morning and I am just going with how i feel. i am still pretty new to this board and I am really wanting to know how do to get to know people.. I see a lot of flirting going on and of course I want to flirt. So... please, give me the advice I am craving... How do I find someone to flirt with. I will be waiting anxiously for any and alllllll replies...

You can get to know people by posting threads like this one.

Although flirting can be done with strangers, I think it's better to know who you're talking with at first so that you can understand the way they communicate. That way, if you say something "suggestive" it doesn't get taken the wrong way -- which can be done on occasion -- then you end up having to apologize for saying something inappropriately.

Timing is necessary, too. And what you say when you're trying to flirt. I was terribly shy when I was in my teens and young adulthood; I found it extremely difficult to even talk to girl, let alone flirt with her. But the more you do it, the easier it gets.

But all of this comes by experience, I guess. BTW, I notice we have a few interests in common -- reading, singing, drawing, painting. And erotica, too, obviously, since you're on this board.

i am a good flirt I think... if I am given the chance...but being new here it just seems to take a bit until you do get to know people. I do post quite a bit so I guess it is just a waiting game. I do agree with you, I like flirting with people you know something about. It makes it a lot better if you have some sort of attachemnt. I, of course love erotica...this board is my favorite new past time... i am on here all the time. I have always read erotica, historical romances... I just always seem to love the men in these stories... they are so authoritive and manly....i guess that is why I like a pretty dominant man..lol...welll enough about me...I am just rambling now... thanks for posting...maybe we can "talk" again....

This is a fun thread. Do you prefer visual flirting, and if so, obvious or subtle? If more verbal flirting, do you like witty repartee or pillow talk.

Flirting is a fine science I think, a topic plentty of people have talked about. Personally, I like a lot of eye contact, especially from across the room, don't look at anything but the eyes. Wait til I get that smile

that sounds like a lot of fun... I will look forward to it... Sensitive, you are right. there are many, many ways to flirt. Eyes do work really well...i am always told I have "bedroom" eyes so...you can just imagine..lol. I think flirting is hugely done in the brain... of course that is a big reason to flirt in a place like this... Flirting is defintely an art.... and like art there are many different kinds...

Believe it or not. BUt I am probaly one of the worlds worse flirters IRL.
Now, how did it all start, with the flirting here. I guess it all came down to the people, I started to interact with on this board.
