In the fantasy world of Amaroth, all Magi must submit to the authority of the Krystarian Church. Anyone with even a glimmer of magical talent must be sent to the White Temple in the Holy City of Krystar to be trained as Paladin. If one does not answer the Call -- or in any way betrays the Church -- they are labeled an apostate and imprisoned at the Black Citadel high in the Icefang Mountains.
Our characters are a group of apostates that have broken out of the Citadel and are now being pursued by a team of elite Paladins. We ultimately help form an underground and give rise to a rebellion, leading to an epic civil war for Magi equality.
