Obama and the media are doing high fives and running victory laps over the jobs report yesterday.

163,000 jobs! WOW!

But unemployment went UP. How can that be?

Simple. 163,000 doesnt come close to meeting the need. We need about 250K to take care of population growth, illegals, etc. So it looks like we were 87,000 jobs short.

Think of it another way. Your cruise ship is sinking, the ship has lifeboats for 163 people, but 250 passengers.

actually, many liberals are proud of public sector job losses, they claim it as a victory for ''shrinking the size of government''

nevermind it's not fed jobs that are being lost, it's at the state & local level because of lost revenue due to unemployment

it's true that the federal gov't rolls are bloated, but that's far down on the to-do list. need to get millions of private sector jobs going first

If you use the household survey, the total number of employed people dropped 76,000. We lost jobs. And another 58,000 are no longer in the work force because they gve up looking. The media likes to spin the facts
