Came across this while looking for "Give Peace a Chance" and "No Chance For a Piece" buttons. With after-action casualty reports still coming in from this weekend's firefight, I thought it appropriate.

Mike Reed's FLAME WARRIORS web site divides web forum combatents into numerous, illustrated, categories such as,

STRUMPET:

Strumpet finds sex talk completely irresistible and constantly forwards excruciatingly unfunny and lurid jokes to the discussion forum. She always manages to sprinkle conversations with references to private parts and will never let pass without comment any mention of the words: eat, enter, come, rub, etc. She disregards the women and flirts with all the men, often bragging that she has a husband or boyfriend that expertly satisfies her putatively voracious sexual appetite, but forum members....er, participants...quickly conclude no husband or boyfriend exists. Should any Warrior challenge her directly Strumpet will disparage her attacker's sexual orientation and/or penis size. CAUTION: Strumpet may be a man.

There are over eighty other categories "Flame Warrior" types including: Rebel Leader, Nanny, Eagle Scout, and Furious Typist. At first I was just going to check out a few, but ended up reading all of them. In case you're wondering, AH'ers are way too, you know, "unique" to be a perfect match for any one category. However, there are a few who come VERY close.

so what are the girls, who act like boys, pretending to be girls?
IMHO, the AH presents many possibilities for new and innovative categories. That's just one. Naming then is the real challenge. Since that would require intellect and imagination, I'm out of luck.

That, is one thing Lit has got in spades here, is intellect and imagination. Out of luck, my eye, Rumple. Still, this is a hard thread to post against, makes people wonder.

Someone has spent far too much time hanging around forums! :)
No question.

Here's another one that, while it doesn't apply to any AH'er, not at all, it does appeal to me.

Issues has an issue and she wants it to be everyone's issue. The discussion could be about fondue pots and Issue would rage about the multinational corporate conspiracy to exploit fondue pot workers. Of course, Issues is found among all ideological persuasions - anti-gun mothers, gun totin' mothers, bloodthirsty feminists, troglodyte misogynists, politically correct, politically incorrect, lefties, righties, vegetarians, carnivores, radical Rotarians - it doesn't matter. HINT: An effective tactic to employ against Issues is indifference.

We are not (quite) so easily pigeonholed ... but the profiles are amusing.

I'm easily pigeonholed... or maybe I'm thinking of something else.

Raphy once told me, a long time ago, that Abs, Lou, Charley and I were the Cyber Sisters:

Cyber Sisters are an extremely fierce confederation of fighting females who act something like a shrill Greek chorus, echoing and amplifying one another's voice until their foes retreat in disarray. They are generally leaderless, but anyone who challenges one Cyber Sister can expect to be savagely attacked by the others. Only the most powerful and battle-hardened of Warriors is strong enough to weather a Cyber Sisters attack.

Not very flattering, true, but maybe fairly close. ;)

The one with the dark red hair and glasses in the back actually looks a lot like me.
