Yes, which, in his case really makes him flakey, because he has free votes. He's a lame duck. He could vote his talk, but he doesn't. So, why does he bother the talk? (Because he's busy visiting early presidential primary states. There, answered my own question. But I don't think it will get him anywhere. Both Repubs and Dems will cut him off as the flake he is.)

He has made a few comments about a 2020 run for president but the overall feeling is that he would be wasting his time running against the party and Trump.

The Republican candidate to replace Flake has run the dirtiest race I have ever seen. She doesn't just trash talk the Democrat opponent, she takes clips of things the Dem has said and then twists it around to make it seem as if the Dem has done all these terrible things. The race has been so bad, the Dem now has Republicans advertising their support for the Dem. During the debate the Rep. candidate was screaming and ranting, repeating all the lies her campaign created, as if they were the truth. Reminded me of Kavanaugh without the crying.

It will be interesting to see how it turns out. AZ is supposed to be a Republican stronghold, but a ton of Californians have moved into the area the past few years.

Really? Collin's took a good deal of time to clearly lay out the facts and the reason for her decision and her reasoning was impeccable.

As far as Flake is concerned, he's out of politics as previously pointed out. It's improbable that he could get elected dog catcher in AZ. now or in the future. He had nothing to lose or gain by voting as he did.

I will concede that the democrats MAY have a point regarding Kavanaugh's ability to be impartial in some cases because of the appointment hearings. If that turns out to be the case I hope that they will remember that they were the Dr. Frankenstein that created the monster. And who will they appeal to next, the mob?

Right. That approach has worked out really well dating way back to the days of Richard Nixon. The theory was that it is possible to stop addiction by simply choking off the supply. Well, they still have not stopped the tunnels, the border bribes, the domestic suppliers, and the off-shore supply, and they still have not acknowledged that we need to spend more on the demand side, as a public health issue, than on the supply side as yet another "war".

Yeah, McSally. She likes to brag that she votes 97% with Trump. But that doesn't bother me, what bothers me is that she runs on extreme lies about her opponent and herself. She likes to promote herself in her uniform, but she doesn't seem to really care about the troops.

The Dem, Sinema, has spent most of her time, instead of campaigning on what she wants to do, on explaining the truth behind her lies. We now have big spending groups, without actual ties to either candidate, putting out advertisements. Some of them are promoting the lies already out there and some are creating more. McSally is one of those people that tells a lie, knows it is a lie, but since she said it, believes it is truth. This is my first major election living in AZ, so I don't know how the rest of the state will go.
