I would love to get a fitness thread going. Feel free to post anything fitness related. Photos of fit or athletic people that turn you on or inspire you. Post about your workout. Ask questions about a workout. Anything at all.

I absolutely love the gym. I have been around gyms pretty much since I was in high school. I love the high I get from a hard workout. I have never tried drugs, but I can't imagine a better high. I also have to admit that I love the women. We have some very sexy women working out at the gym and that only motivates me. :D

I got in my workout early this morning. I would love to sleep in, but my body clock says 6:00 is the time to wake up, and I do. The best advantage to that is that the gym wasn't crowded. I was able to get in do my leg workout, and get back home to cut the grass before the heat gets here.

There have been a couple of threads dealing with fitness and/or eating healthier. They sort of died off :(:(:( I agree, it's an important and sexy topic!

I got in a brisk walk with the dog so far. Heading out for a bike ride a little later today. Finally the humidity is supposed to break a bit. It was hotter here in Metro Detroit than in Houston for several days. LOL

Working out in a gym always feels like a chore, I like to swim laps but that obviously involves more athletic swimwear that doesn't look as sexy as a bikini.

Ahh, but it does look sexy. It might not show as much skin as a bikini, but sexy is as much attitude as clothing, or lack of clothing. ;)

Oh yeah, it's really sexy because all the men underestimate my stamina and I always outswim and outlast anyone in the pool. I really enjoy looking at their jaws hanging every time I tap the wall and instead of stopping just flip over and keep going.

I'm sure there are many men left in your wake as they try to impress you by out swimming you. Me? I would stand at the end of the pool with a towel for you.

The fact that I sink better than I swim has nothing to do with it. :D

Ok, I'll jump in :)

I hate the shit out of running, but I still do it because it's so effective. Personally more of a sprinter than long distance, because with sprinting I can see a visible end.

I try to get high intensity training in at least 2x a week, and kickbox and play BJJ the other 2-3 days. Started to seriously skip rope with my warms ups this year, and still trying to get double unders down. PVC rope to the toes really smarts.

Looking into getting some weight training in. I was recently introduced to the Battle Rope, and g'damn is that a bitch - but so good.

Also try to get Yoga in at least 1x a week to remind myself to just breathe and calm the eff down from a week's worth of "Burpee's! GO!!"

I just cannot get into running either. So I walk 5 miles per day, do weights, lots of yardwork and a stepper. My equipment is at home, so there is never a line or other inconvenience. I do enjoy a good hotel gym when on the road though as i like to check out the new equipment...and after-workout saunas are great!

Oh my lord, your routine sounds like bootcamp to me. Running is great cardio no doubt but you get all hot and sweaty and dehydrated. I'll stick to swimming any day... Of course this is the endurance variety not just leisure laps. I then climb stairs and do squats etc to build muscles on calves, thighs and glutes.

I did try Burpees once and decided never again.

I also hate distance running. I can do sprints or cycling, but distance running is something I need to work on.

The battle rope is insane. I have done several workouts with it and I am dead after I finish.

I need to start yoga, or some other form of stretching as that is my biggest weakness.

I cycle for my work most days, and need to get about pretty sharpish. And I love solo adventure distance cycling. I find there is a huge benefit in my love life! The added confidence which strong and agile legs gives me, whichever way we end up entwining, just gives my fuck a capital F when we want it! Si

I enjoy cross training. That involves running, elliptical, cycling, and weight training. I get bored quickly, so I need variety. I enjoy swimming as well, but it's difficult to match my workout with when the pool is available for lap swimming.

Lol, yeah, it kind of is bootcamp. I joined a martial arts gym a little over a year ago, and it's the first time I've consistently utilized my gym membership. Burpee's suck, but again, so damn effective. I've been wanting to take swim lessons for the longest time. Wish I had better access to a pool.

Oh man, fuck that guy on the 3rd complex. The cadence of those waves are ridiculous! I remember my very first time, I was struggling with my left arm's waves reaching the end, and my trainer at the end of the rope shaking her head saying, "yeah, no, that doesn't count. That doesn't count either. Lets go!"

Cycling is another thing I'd like to mix in...so much easier on the knees, and my left one hates me after years of volleyball.

aerial silks

Me in a silks class.
Yes, I'd rather hang upside down, rep it out against a bag/focus mitts, choke folks out on the mat, and burpee it out than distance run.

I just started masters swimming again. do ls mills body pump classes at the club, and run a bit. Trying to get back into really good shape. I want to look and feel as sexy as I can.

Starting the day off with a protein shake made with orange juice, mixed berries, a banana, and a scoop of protein powder. Then it will be off to the gym for my chest workout.

Gosh, I haven't done any martial arts since school... did plenty of kickboxing then and had my knuckles busted up several times.

I prefer outdoor activities (maybe it comes from living in a cramped city) and can't stand to ride a stationary bike or run on a treadmill- too boring.

Running, swimming, cycling are all great if you just need to maintain your weight... I would like to weight train to get more muscle definition but that would mean joining a gym. Neh!

Pistol squats anyone?

Strong as my legs are I haven't managed to do even one of these all the way. Anyone here have more luck/ better technique than I do?
