Not according to the endless debate I have had here. I am repeatedly told that there is no actual "rape" rule here. Yet it can and has been used as a reason for rejection. So you go figure it out.

The only graphic violence is that of a physical nature, the main sex scene was non consensual to start with. The only allusion to rape was non descriptive. As in "He watched as his crew took the women"..

They don't usually say "We rejected your story because....." Instead, they usually ask a question, such as "Was there sex with underage persons?" I call those "Jeopardy Reasons."

I think a story can be rejected if it contains too many grammatical errors, if the prose is hard to follow due to formatting, etc.

I had a hard time following your excerpt. While I might be the only one, and this might not be the reason for the rejection, using an editor is almost never a bad thing.

Found out the rejection reason was something to do with the formatting...Have approached a volounteer editor...and resubmitted!
