A thread for new experiences. Report 'em when you have 'em.

I had a grilled cheese sandwich for the first time ever today. It did so not live up to the hype.

I defended grilled cheese sandwiches for the first time today!

GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICHES ROCK! (So there!)

Try grilled PB&J on honey wheat. You have to (this is not an option) make the PB&J (I recommend blackberry or raspberry) first, slather the outsides of the bread with butter (real butter) and place it gently in a shallow frying pan over medium heat, and flip often. It's salty-squishy nutty sweet goodness.

today is the first day of the rest of my life.
and
i love grilled cheese sam'wiches.

I began designing (and digging footings for) our new deck today.

Damn, I think I'm in over my head.

Oh well, I'll let our AH buddies that saw the before backyard judge the changes when they return.;)

p.s. I like grilled cheese sandwiches, when made right.

We really need to know more about the grilled cheese.
To defend it we have to know it. It just may have been produced poorly.

What type of bread? What type of cheese?

Please say it was not processed cheese.

I made Publix, (A local Grocery Store Chain) Bratwurst for the first time today. I was more than pleasantly surprised. These are not the bland ones you find in most stores. They actually have some spice and flavor to them. I'll have to get more.

As for Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, it all depends how they are made. I like them made with Monterey Jack Cheese, Bacon and a thin slice of Tomatoe on Sourdough Bread.

I  Publix!!! Omg, their water rolls are God's gift to a bread lover...

Today at Publix, I bought three ENORMOUS stuffed velvet-plushie dinosaurs: A T-Rex, A Triceratops, and a Stegosaurus family (not a steggie, though) for my boy. He hasn't seen them or his newly dinsoauriffic room yet- he's still at Grandma's. Today, I actually agreed, for the first time ever, to allow a lizard to live in my house. Before they came in uninvited. We now have a currently unknown sex of fat-tailed leopard-spotted gecko named C.C. If Ian does well with it, we'll get him a second one for Christmas, and a breeding pair of Green Anoles so he can start breeding them for pet trade. His little bank account will be so proud of him... then again, how many 7 year olds have 25 dollars that they earned and deposited all by themselves in their own personal account? (College money Mommy does, and does it where he can't touch it.)

The boyfriend had to try that...I hated it.

I voiced my uncensored opinion to his mother today when the words "there are no Atheists in foxholes" came flying out of her mouth. The look she gave me was pure evil. I don't think I'm on her good side anymore.

I am sorry, I did not mean to attack any cheese, or their dear fans. But I don't believe processed cheese should be part of a grilled sandwich. I find at the market, Jack and Colby regularly cost less per pound.

But if you like processed cheese, and large numbers of the American public do enjoy this cheese, that is just fine and dandy. Many of my best and dearest friends like processed cheese. I even have a friend that likes cheese wiz. I am proud to say that I do not judge a fellow human by the cheese they eat.
