First Time genre

I have a story that is in the pov of a character that is non-virgin, who then has sex with a character that is a virgin. Epilogue has pov of recently de-virginized character. Should this be First Time or Erotic Couplings?

My thought is that if the pov were of the virgin, then it would be a no-brainer to choose First Time.

Either POV works for First Time.

I guess the key question is what distinguishes your tale from 'normal' erotic encounters? Yes, it's that somebody loses their virginity. So, IMO, First Time.

I'd say it depends on the focus of your story and the audience you think will enjoy it most. "First time" is also a tag that is used in many categories.

PoV can vary, but if the focus of the story is one or more first sexual encounters, First Time is for that.

If it's just part of the story, or there is another dominant theme, it doesn't need to go into First Time. First time anal sex is popular in the Anal category.

First time. The stories in that category get more views, on average, and it fits there based on how you've described it.

It would probably end up in First Time even if you chose another genre, so you might as well put it there yourself.

I think I discovered that YMMV. Everything We've Been Told Are Lies is taking a (relative) pounding, my first foray into First Time. I'm getting good interaction, but I get the feeling that first time is more about gentle blossoming of love than love against the odds. Depends on whether it's HEA...?

I agree, I have seen the First Time tag used in plenty of stories in different categories. First time anal, first time lesbian, first time with a milf, etc.

So if the focus of the story is the non-virgin character, you could put it in the EC section without a problem and just use the tag for it.

But if you feel the First Time section is best, then you should go for it.
