I am not a member of the lifestyle group. It has crossed my path a coupe of times, but my direct interaction is very limited. Therefore it is with a little trepidation that I present this story for your consideration. Here is the link.

A little background. Cynthia is a former dancer. As a pretteen and early teen she had hopes of the very top of the profession but then she developed. Her mature form simply would not handle the rigors of top level dance. So what we have is a young, athletic, attractive woman who has 10 years of submitting to a demanding master, controling her body, ignoring pain for a higher satisfaction, who is rejected by her master as unfit.

This story takes place about 8 years later. Cynthia has built a BDSM business to channel her needs through, but has come to a point where a dominant influence is welcome. That influence is Sean. They are working out there relative positions when he comes to her with an offer befitting her talents, artistic and otherwise. Sean is insightful, decisive, but has cmmunacative problems.

KM has flayed me once already, but she is always welcome, as are all of you.

This is a forum for the discussion of BDSM issues, pocketrocket. If you were a regular poster here, your announcement of a new story would likely be welcome. It would be, of course, just one of the posts you made to the continued good health and foundation of knowledge upon which we build this place day-by-day.

However, yours is just a invitation for feedback from us on your new story. From what i can see, you don't intend to stay and become a member of our small, fiercely protective, closely-supportive community.

What happens if everyone who writes a BDSM-themed story (or that which they think fits the category, anyway) comes here to begin a thread to invite us most politely - as you have done - to come and read and discuss? Do you think we'd be overwhelmed, pocketrocket? Do you think we'd become a bit testy? I'm sorry to put this so plainly but it's unfair to us, to the subjects we discuss each day, to the flow of our forum, for you to post this here.

There's a whole forum for the discussion of new works of fiction. I know you've gone there with your work and your instincts were correct: that's the appropriate place for it.

I wish you well with your story.
I'll try to read it - but not now and i won't remark on it here, either. This is the wrong place for feedback on your new story.

I hope you understand.

My appologies

It was not my intent to intrude. However this is a case where I wanted an expert opinion. This story is not new. It was posted on the site last year.

However there are issues raised, primarily about consent and general ethics of a D/s relationship that I have difficulty unraveling. I did not want to say too much, so as not to poison the fresh eye, but my D, Cynthia might be disturbed by the events of this story. In a nutshell she allowed herself to put her own interests ahead of her client's. I was wondering if that chord plays true with experienced D's and what if anything she is likely to try to do to correct the situation.

I do understand that you wish your privacy. If this is unwelcome, I assuredly understand. As I said, I was looking for expert help, and this is the only place I know where to find it.
