I have been roleplaying online for 3+ years and occasionally it turned sexual, and the site that I role-play on does not allow that so you would take it to other forms of media (Skype, AIM, MSN, etc.). I just joined this community because I really enjoy that sort of thing and might like to do it in a public setting. But there are a few things I need to know.

Is it against the rules to do one on one role-playing?
If not, where would you post to find a partner or two?
How much is too much when posting back and forth?

I'm sure I'll think of more to ask, but for now, that'll do. :L

Nope, you're free to do one-on-one, or groups, or even solo if you want.

If you're looking for a partner, you're probably best checking this thread, and either sending someone a message there if something interests you, or tossing up your own post to try and generate some interest.

As far as how much is "too much," it entirely depends on your partner. I like to check people out a bit, look back through their post and see their posting style, before I even really contact them, just so I'm not wasting both our time. But basically, whatever length you want to post at, you'll find someone happy to oblige you I'm sure.

Thanks!
I think I'll have to check that out, seems quite intriguing.
Is there a layout that I can simply copy, paste, and then fill out for an SRP profile?

Welcome!
There's not really a format for the SRP profile, other than what you see there. There are also FAR more people who write SRPs than have profiles posted.
I'd also look at the FAQ here
As Scuttle said, limits for posting depend on whatever you have worked out with your partner (obvious rules apply as they do to any Literotica post...), but that said, things range from sweet and romantic to "Lesbian Cheerleader Rape"

Thank you very much for all the help!
What sort of basic information should be included in the SRP profile?
I mean, just the ones that I've looked at all seem to include different things.

Well, think about what you'd want to know about another writer, and post that.
Likes and dislikes, kinks and turn offs, etc.
You can always go back and edit later if you leave something out
