Even so, a McCain-Obama contest is the best news this country has had in decades. For the first time I could willingly vote for either and won't regret the election of the one I don't vote for. At least Billery seems out of the picture. And if I were Obama, I'd be looking really closely at Richardson. If I were McCain, I'd be doing my best to change Condi's mind. Of such things, dreams are made.

November? You don't actually vote till November?? You mean we've got to put up with this electioneering crap for another six months????
It'll feel like yearsTechnically, it's five months. But who's counting?
Not my candidate, but it's good to see someone different this time around. It's a shame that McCain can't compete with his speaking skills because this really will be a major chance to choose between different sets of ideas on where to take the country. I side more with McCain, but feel like we're already behind by 20 points with about 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter. He'll have to really make his case to overcome the things dragging down Republicans. Hopefully it will come down to ideas instead of the usual political nonsense, but I'm not holding my breath.
Are you kidding? McCain is no powerhouse on the stump, but he delivers a lot more "straight talk" than Obama's vague generalities about "change" and "hope." I have to give McCain the slight edge in rhetoric.
I just can't bring myself to have any trust in a guy nicknamed after a small, bug eating salamander.I want Condi. But if I can't have her, I'll settle for Newt.....Carney (talking veep, not for a lover)(NTTAWWT)
Who? Educate me.So I guess the african american woman vice presidential candidate from a couple hundred years ago doesn't count?
Who? Educate me.![]()
I forgot her name, and who she was running with, and against. I heard it on some TV program with Robert Whul the other month, and have forgotten almost everything about it, except that she was a black woman, and wasn't on the winning side of the election.
1984 according to Wikipedia. Pre TV?Geraldine Anne Ferraro
It's was pre TV... she went by Gerry Ferraro, most voters thought she was an Irish-Italian![]()
Between Webb and Richardson, I want Richardson.
