I was thinking about this today, mostly because I need to get out and see a few shows.

Anyway, who was your first concert? Opening and main act. Does it rate as one of your favorites? Well then, which show has been your favorite up until now?

One last one, who would you like to see?

I was just thinking about this...

seriously, mere moments ago.

Pink Floyd at Rosemont Horizon. I don't think I wore shoes.

My first concert was Blood, Sweat and Tears (with David Clayton Thomas) at a small venue near where I lived. This was in high school.

Not long after some friends and I took a bus down to NYC to see Chicago at Madison Square Concert. That was my first BIG concert...

Both concerts were great...

Awwww Yes

It was 1972 and I got free tickets to see The Eagles. Great band.

I was talking to somebody the other day that said his first concert was Blood, Sweat, and Tears opening up for Chicago Transit Authority. That would have been a great show. That first Chicago album definitely ranks as one of my favorite albums.

Freefare 1978 a local band(?)

Of known "entertainers", Billy Joel in 1979. I dont' remember if anyone opened up for him or not though.

Lo

My first concert was when I was 12. My aunt took me to see Huey Lewis and the News *groan*. I can't even remember who opened for them.

Well - in my case it was two separate concerts but that would have been a very appropriate double bill. This would have been around 1974 I believe. 25+ years later I have to say that of the two bands, for me BS&T has held up better. These days I'm more likely to listen to BS&T than I am to Chicago.

My first concert was Pink Floyd as well. Delicat Sound of Thunder Tour. OMG it was amazing! Second show was The Grateful Dead, don't remember much about the concert really.;)

Since then I've made it a point to keep working freelance and so of all the many many concerts I've seen those 2 and the U2 Zoo TV tour are the only show's I've actually had to buy tickets for.

At least it was memorable.

Pink Floyd, I've never seen them, but I've heard it is a great stage show. Delicate Sound of Thunder though, no Roger Waters, correct?

Forgot about who I'd like to see. That's a very hard question to answer, because I see alot of concerts.

I would have to say... The Eagles, if the tickets are free, and decnt seats. I can't afford the kinds of prices that they charge for their concerts.

my first concert was New Kids On The Block with Perfect Gentlemen opening......then I saw The Beach Boys at Sea World..... and from 2000-2002 have been going to Nsync ....

Oh god, how I have longed to forget...but I will share my shame here. My first concert was...Sha Na Na ***cringe***
I was 9 and even them I was like OMG help me! Scary thing is I would love to see them now that Im older:D

My first show I picked and went to myself was Violent Femmes, I do not remember the opening act. It was great!

Last show I saw was Lynyrd Skynyrd opeing act was Paul Rodgers the lead singer from Bad Company. It was amazing!

Mid 1970's Rod Stewart concert....

I'm not really a concert person when it comes to music.... theatre is more my thing...... love live stage...

my first

my first was eric burdon and the new animals i have seen them a few times and my last 1 was kid rock!

heh... My first ever concert was a Christian rock band called Petra... Am I lame?

My first was AC/DC, I was more interested in seeing the opening act King's X when I went. But King's X equipment was terrible, they got booed off the stage by all the drunks. AC/DC was actually a pretty good show, Angus Young has so much energy.

Over the last few years, we pretty much only go to see the smaller acts. It's still fun, a lot cheaper, and there's the opportunity to hears some music that I really like that doesn't get on the air.

Billy Joel, in Alexander Hall at Princeton, seats about 500. Martin Mull was the opening--he had an interesting version of Dualing Banjos, but on the tuba. c. 1973

STYX Grand Illusion tour at The Garden, I think the openers were Angel.

I've seen just about everybody I like, most of them more than once.

first concert: Chuck Mangione.
First rock concert: The Greatful Dead (1983, Saratoga Springs NY--didn't know anything about them but went with friends and had a great time)

how the hell do you expect a fellow to pass as a hip and young when you make him admit that his first concert was fats domino...a young fats domino..
