Firefox Web Browser

I did the other day but once I upgraded to the newest version it's been fine

same thing happened to me, and when you try to task manager it, it just shut down completely.

exactly....i called the Geek Squad, and while I was talking to them..the computer finally started to run a disk check after like 5 tries and sitting for 15 minutes..........and cleaned up the problem:rolleyes:

i may switch to chrome. i hear its better.

I have heard people that love that...and also people who don't...I haven't tried it.
If you are still having problems....talk to CallMeTim he is an IT and may be able to help you out

Firefox is such a resource hog. This PC is a bit old. I guess I will tell daddy to buy his little girl a new PC.

Go Chrome, or go home! :)

The tabs are sooo much nicer, you can drag them out into their own window. I wish we could use it at work but they won't let us install it.

I tried chrome and was not all that impressed but didn't use it for long.
Was not that impressed with Firefox either.
You might want to try Opera, I like it but I also use MS IE. I don't like
MS but their code has gotten a lot better and there are probably some
efficiencies to using an MS product on a Win OS.
Be sure to keep auto updates on and your system fully patched.
I suggest using Secunia PSI 2.0 to monitor things, it is free.
Also, run Malwarebytes once a month or anytime the system seems
to be acting strange, also free.

Firefox works great for me on a Win7 32 bit system. IE is always very slow, all the time.

Yes, but she was asking if FF is the problem.

And considering the problem (at least for some people, from what I saw on a quick google search) is that the latest edition of Firefox for certain operating systems is having issues with add-ons/java, at least half of those questions would be highly relevant.

Well that stinks. I'll have to try chrome too. Thanks for the info KMD

I mostly use Chrome. The incognito mode is good as you can keep your normal windows open at the same time ...
