just wondering if anyone else that surfs on lit uses Mozilla Firefox as there web browser.....if you have no clue what im talking about then im sure that you dont use it......if you do im wondering how you look at the amatuer pics section....the only way it will let me see the pic is that i have to save it to my comp.....
any help would be nice thx:)

I use Mozilla, but Firefox is great. I think I'll wait until after 1.0 to install it though on my home system.

I use Mozilla for 90% of my browsing, but use IE here on Lit. because of exactly that reason. In this case IE is just SO much more convenient.

When you goto open a picture, a box should come up.
Tell it to open the picture with firefox.exe

:)

It still doesn't work right. It used to on the forum, then it stopped working(must have been a forum update or something)

I'm using firefox (I installed it a couple of weeks ago), and it just worked ok for me. When I click on a pic link, a new window opens and a box pops up asking if I want to open it in jpeg (or other, there's a drop-down box) format or save it. I chose Open in JPEG, and the pic opened just fine.

Of course, it's entirely possible I'm having the same "problem", but I just don't see it as an issue.

I'm using Mozilla Firebird and had the same problem described above. Here is what you need to do.

Download and install User Agent Switcher. Start your browser and go to the "Tools" menu. Scroll down to Agent Switcher and select IE. Now when you click on an attached files, they will open normally.

Here is the link:

i've been using firefox since .8.0 and wouldn't give it up for the world. IE is a clunky piece o' crap IMO.

what i've done is right click the link for the pic and choose "save target as." when i have the pic on my desktop i view it in the pic & fax viewer.

there's PROBABLY a plugin at the mozilla website (www.mozilla.org) but i haven't bothered to look for one to simplify this.

hook848: if it wasn't a typo when you typed "fireBIRD" i'd suggest getting the new fireFOX. it's version .9.2 and has improved greatly (including a huge security fix over .9.1) over the old fireBIRD browser.

Not a typo, I'm using the "Bird" version. I'll be changing to Firefox now that you mentioned it.

And if you get tired of saving pics to your desktop, Agent Switcher is the fix. I was reluctant to use it but a trusted computer guru I know gave me the go ahead.

I run Ad-aware and Spybot regularly so I'm certain theres no spyware with it.
