Sorry all, the intro post won't be along till Monday. Work is busy as hell this weekend, so I have to pick up extra hours, and then Sunday I will be out with the family.

Jeff - No worries, life happens. I'm going to be pretty swamped next weekend, but I'm hoping to have some time for posts. I'm glad you like the picture for Mike! I'm looking forward to seeing how she and Kylar play off each other.

Aura - yes, sparring partner! I'd like to play getting into that arrangement if we can. I'm expecting Wolf and Mike to get along pretty well, if a bit surprisingly.

@Jeff: That actually works a lot better. I'll be stuck at home Monday through Thursday since I have spring break that week and I won't be going to work since my car's going to be in the shop. I wasn't planning on doing much that week other than working on stuff for my YouTube channel, so Monday's great!

@Valkyrie: I know, right? I'm looking forward to seeing how well Jesse & Mike get along too. One's cute & shy, the other is rough, keeps to himself, & doesn't like to verbally express how he feels, they're about the same age, and they spar together. It practically screams, "Ship me! Ship me! I'm awkwardly adorable! Ship me!" Lol XD Yeah, playing getting into the arrangement should be fun.

@Aura - What does your use of "ship" mean here? I don't recognize it.

I am looking forward to how Jesse is going to deal with Mike. He seems to be a pretty straightforward guy (which is what we all love about Jayne, to be honest) who is not so great at discussing his feelings, and Mike is fairly complicated, and not so great at discussing anything important.

I'm beginning to think that Mike is going to develop an unrequited crush on everyone. And have no way to deal with it. I'm quite looking forward to that, actually.

Gentle, "ship" the way Aura is using it is "to put together in a relationship" its commonly used in other fandoms, I.e. harry potter, MLP, etc. Like we all "ship" Map and Inara together. This is mainly used for relationships that never occur.

Thank you! I got the relationship aspect from context, but not the nuance, which I needed. I don't play in fandoms online much, as evidenced.

I'm sure we can use one more female . Welcome aboard, Caramel . I work night shift at a hotel, and have been in and out of bed all day, but I think I am up for a while now, so I will start writing the intro post after I eat me some dinner -- making mac n cheese with sliced hotdogs, lol. This post is going to be rather long, as I am going to open with a flashback of Kylar's final days in the war and then his final days with his mother. The intro post with close with the Warlock arriving on Mr. Universe's Moon and Kylar waiting for the others to show up, unless some of them traveled to Persephone and then traveled with Kylar from there.

Also, so we can focus more on the next generation, I'm thinking the parents are just there for the funeral and then go back to their lives or retirements or whatever (Mal, Inara, Jayne, etc.).

Up to you. Also, sorry the thread hasn't come along yet. I sat down to write last night and ended up passing out in my chair, and then I was like, "Fuck, I don't feel like writing right now," lol. I got a good night's sleep since I was off, and now I have some Zeppelin playing as I read through the OOC and make preparations to start writing the intro post .

I'm hoping to have it up within the next two hours, but we'll see. Most of it is going to be an extended bio for Kylar, and the post will close with him waiting for the others at the spaceport on Persephone.

I ended up working nearly thirteen hours Saturday night, and then when I got off work Sunday morning, we went over to my dad's house for breakfast and then the whole family went to the Clearwater Aquarium to see Winter the dolphin and explore the facilities -- there were two separate buildings and a fifteen minute boat ride to get back and forth. If you go to my profile here on Lit and click the link for my facebook page, there are pics of the day.

We ended up staying out a lot later than planned and then had dinner at CiCi's Pizza, and by the time I finally got home I only had two hours of sleep before I had to go back to work. I worked Sunday night, and then Monday morning I came home to enjoy two nights off, and kept sleeping on and off. I haven't really felt well-rested until a few hours ago, and I have almost zero motivation to write when I am tired and keep yawning and have to keep wiping my watery eyes, lol. That's why I didn't have the post done yesterday like I had originally planned.

Hey, I totally get it. Shit happens. When shit happens, you lose motivation. And when motivation is lost, you can't produce great art. I have to deal with the same stuff with my channel all the time. I can't get always get stuff out to my subscribers when I want to, and it sucks.

My channel's for a particular fandom that (for the most part) anyone who doesn't belong to it most likely hates, hence why celestialdragon wouldn't let me use my YouTube/usual internet name on here when I was registering. Anyway, I doubt you've heard of me. While I AM growing in popularity, the fact that my channel's for "the-fandom-that-must-not-be-named" makes me doubt that you've heard of me.
