Tan stayed awake for the whole shift, he didn’t see or hear anything out of the ordinary. He wondered if things would get better and what had caused this all. The first thought was that Rahn was to blame for all this mess but Tan knew that it wasn’t the case. Tan liked Rahn and he seemed to genuinely care and love Tora. The blame was on the brother, mostly himself, because he had fought so hard to keep Tora safe but he saw now he had made thing worse and that something like this could have happened no matter who it was that Tora fell in love with.
When Rahn called to him he stood up and headed to Sol’s tent. Waking Sol up he then headed to his own tent. Sleep did not find Tan until much later as he thought over all the trouble he had caused by trying to keep Tora safe. Ash and Sol took up their spots; Sol first checked on the three girls and smiled at the three of them. Just as he turned to leave he saw Tora open her eyes, “Have you slept?” she asked softly still half a sleep and not wanting to wake the other two up. “Ash and I have just slept and Tan and Rahn are sleeping now, you should go back to sleep little dancer,” he whispered to her. “Okay,” she whispered and then closed her eyes and drifted back off to sleep. Sol smiled and took up his position.
