Longer nails or not, I always wear a nitrile glove for this activity. I would tend to agree, while the gloves may work I would be kind of leery of doing anal play with long nails or nails of any length. Even relatively blunt nails, like some of the ceramic tips I have seen (they tend to be thick rather then thin and sharp) can cause problems, and the inside of the anus is pretty thin and susceptible to bleeding (as anyone who has had anal sex can testify to). Toys is the best, like everyone else has suggested. But if your girl is like mine and a finger is the sexy part of it, but gloves are a turn off.
