Finding the beast (Closed for Mayu)

Logan

"Some saw it as a mayor flaw of mine, but then again, things always happens for a reason"

Logan looked at her, the shirt has risen up a bit and he could see even more of her legs and he had to admit that he was starting to enjoy looking at her way more than he should

She smiled some, the way he looked at her made her grin softly. "Major flaw? I don't see that, the xmen need a heavy hitter and your one hell of one" She said with a smile.

Logan

"Heavy hitter"

He chuckled at that

"Colussus is usually the blunt instrument"

He raised his hand and let the blades slide out with a definitive SNIKT

"I'm the surgical instrument"

He let the blades slide back and he smiled at her

She laughed "True you make a good point Logan, but still I wouldn't want to piss you off. But I don't have to worry about it, since I don't plan on making you mad."

Logan

He chuckled

"I rarely get angry, because once I get angry it is more a battle to control my rage than it is to calm down again"

She was curious "your rage is really that bad? " she tried to imagine it

Logan

"It's called a berserk fury my dear, let me put it this way, when you get mad enough you start to see everything in a brighter light as your mind prepares to engage in battle, this works in such a way that when I get angry enough I turn into a feral beast which will rip everything and anybody that gets in my way to shreds and not even know what I'm doing. So yes it is probably worse than what they say"

She listened to him explain the rage "Makes sense, since you are a bit feral with your sense of smell. I can see the fury, but it's a good thing it doesn't happen much. But If that happened while I was around, I wouldn't be afraid. And I know I should be, to run. But I don't run from anything." She said softly.

Logan

He smiled at her

"As long as you stay behind me when I get that way I think you will be safe"

Logan grinned

"Well I'm guessing that you're staying over tonight, especially with that storm howling outside"

She smiled "I was trained to fight, so if we were ever needing to fight you wouldn't have to worry about me" She chuckled, and nodded. "I will just sleep here, it's fine"

Logan

He shook his head

"Au contrair mademoiselle, you are sleeping where your clothes are and there is no discussing that matter at all"

She laughed some "Well the great Wolverine is a sweet heart" she said kindly. He was something else, that was for sure. Maggie began to look back into the fire. "Does it hurt?" She asked, and looked over at Logan. "The claws?"

Logan

He could remember being asked the same question before and he nodded

"Everytime, they force the bones of the wrist out of their way and slice through the muscle and skin on their way out. But by now I'm so used to it that I hardly feel it anymore"

Maggie smiled softly "Your strong Logan, that's for sure you have been through so much. And yet here we sit talking. If I had been in your situation, I'm not to sure what I would have done" She said softly and picked up her chain again. "Makes a person think"

Logan

"As long as you don't have negative thoughts you are allowed to think all that you want to"

He chuckled and without thinking lit up another one of his cigars, taking a deep drag and relaxing in his chair, his hand reached out to find his mug missing, he grinned to himself and got up

"I'm going to get myself more coffee, from the looks of you, I'd say you had better get to bed"

She watched him even more, she laughed softly as she stood up. She stood before him and kissed his cheek. "I'm glad we met, something tells me we will get along just fine." She said kindly and headed for his room. She shut the door most of the way, running her fingers down her clothing they were dry. So she changed and laid down, she closed her eyes. Drifting off, at peace.

Logan

He made himself another cup of coffee and sat down in the chair again, slowly drinking his coffee as he puffed on his cigar. Maggie was quite an interesting girl and he had to say that he was quite taken with her, even though he didn't really know her yet. After the fire have burned down to coals and the cigar have been finished, he decided to get a bit of rest. He silently slipped into his room, getting a pillow and smiled as he looked down at the sleeping form of Maggie, she really was a pretty girl. He slipped back out and made himself comfortable on the couch, the only light that from the still glowing coals and the sound that of the wind lashing the rain against the cabin. He closed his eyes and fell asleep

She was content, hearing the howling of the storm. But peace didn't last very long, she started to have a dream. One that greatly upset her, she tossed in bed. She saw the accident all over again, her parents. She could feel fear for the first time in a long time, she sat up quickly, she noticed the sun coming up. She cried softly, she hated dreams, she didn't want to wake up every day without her parents. She rested her back against the wall, as she cried in her hands.

Logan

Logan was up before sunrise, busy making breakfast, he had opened the door to let the cool air with it's fragrance of clean air and wet pines inside. Over the twittering of the birds outside he could hear Maggie tossing and turning in the bed, she didn't cry out so he thought that she was just having some trouble sleeping further. After he was done with the sausages, bacon and eggs, he poured himself another cup of coffee and went outside, wearing just his jeans, to take in the cool fresh air and drinking his coffee.

She sighed some and got up, making sure he couldn't tell she had been crying. Maggie could smell food, she smiled seeing Logan. She rolled up her long sleeve shirt, exposing her arm showing she had seven old slashed scars. "Smells delicious" she said happily. The storm had ended so now she didn't have an excuse to stay, but she would only go if he asked. Since she loved spending time with him.

Logan

He listened as Maggie got up and came out of the room, he looked at her and returned the smile

"Help yourself I made enough for us both and there is fresh coffee, just waiting to go down a throat"

He noticed the scars and wondered what they were from, he finished his coffee and went back inside to refill it

She smiled at him, she nodded getting some for herself, she was starving. But she noticed him looking at her arm and looked at him, still smiling. "I got these from practicing, learning how to use my chain, well it was rough. " She explained, she didn't mind telling him either.

Logan

"Well it seems that each sport has it's injuries"

He refilled his cup and got some of the food for himself as well, he placed it on the table and started to cut the food up in pieces.

"If you're not in much of a hurry we could have a little stroll down to a tree that got hit by lightning last night, I want to check how usable it is"

She smiled "I'm in no hurry what so ever" She said happy he said what he did. She leaned back and sighed some. "What do you do every day? I have to stay busy or i'm not happy" She admitted, chuckling a bit.

Logan

"At the beginning I sat around, just going to waste, then came the times that I just went mad and destroyed what I could...well actually doing all that destruction got me the lumber I needed to build this cabin. Usually I go out to hunt, no matter what the people say, deer and elk meat is quite popular these days and I do get funds by selling the meat, skin and other consumables"

He picked up his fork and started to eat the food he had cut to pieces

"I also do the Forest department a favor, I cut down sickly trees and chop them up into firewood, or if they ask me to cut down a certain batch of trees for them I do that as well, so I'm keeping busy, but most of the time I'm sitting in my chair watching the world or the fire"
