"Then the estate is best for you now, with the X-Men to protect you he will not get to you at all."
He took her hand and lead her to the mansion, sniffing the air every now and then. Suddenly he stopped and a low growl slipped from his lips as the hulking figure of Sabretooth stepped into their path, they were mere meters away from the mansion.
"Hello Jimmy, long time no see,"
Logan narrowed his eyes at Sabretooth,
"Victor, how long will this go on until you realize that you can not kill me?"
Sabretooth chuckled,
"If I had wanted to kill you Jimmy, you would have been dead. I like having fun and seeing you fight what you are is fun, but I'm not here for you..."
Logan scoffed,
"You will not have her either Victor, turn back now."
A wide grin came to Sabretooth's lips,
"I love when you get all noble."
He pounced and Logan pushed Maggie aside, meeting Sabretooth's attack head on, the collision was enormous and as they grappled Logan shouted at Maggie,
"Run! Get to safety, I'll be fine."

She was pushed to the ground, and looked at him. Standing up Maggie heard what he said to her. Her instincts told her to stay and help him, but she had to protect the estate so she took off running. By the time she got to the estate Sam had come and was looking for her, threating to kill everyone. But he stopped when she came into view.
"You will never harm another person as long as you live" She said
with a bitter hiss in her mouth. She closed her eyes and silently said something, it was an old Indian prayer, and before anyone could say anything the sky turned gray and thunder was heard.
She took off running at Sam and manged to get the first punch in, but he was well built and much taller then her. She had no idea what she was doing, she thought of Logan.

He matched Sabretooth move for move, his time spent with Deadpool and Maggie helping him as the faster Sabretooth could not make any real impact. Logan on the other hand scored numerous hits, but Sabretooth healed just as rapidly as him. When they separated after a certainly ugly clash, Sabretooth grinned at him,
"By now Sam will have her Jimmy, I just kept you busy enough."
Logan grinned thinly as he wiped the blood from a closed cut on his cheek,
"Guess again chuckles, she's still here, I can smell her."
Saretooth growled and attacked, Logan had waited for this and met the attack, his claws slicing through Sabretooth's hands and imbedded in his chest, cutting his heart to ribbons. There was a shocked look on Victor's face and Logan withdrew his blades.
"That should keep you off my back, time for Sam and me to have a little chat."
With a growl he turned and ran to the mansion, hoping that he wasn't too late to help Maggie.

Maggie had defended the kids as best as she could, but she was pretty beaten up. Looking at Sam she growled some, fighting hand to hand. Sam didn't seem right, like he wasn't human, she wasn't making a dent in him. Hell she even made a dent when she fought with Logan and he healed himself. Maggie heard something and when she looked at Logan she was struck hard, she was teased by the taser was very powerful. She fell to her knees panting heavily, she was failing horribly. Looking up she tried to stand but she just fell to her knees.
"Logan..." She looked up weakly, soon Sam someone came off the vehicle and handed him a whip and Sam began to whip Maggie. He wanted to hear her scream, and cause Logan to go crazy. But Maggie made no sound.
"Logan...he wants you....to loose control, don't let him win" She said softly. He whipped her five times before stopping, but she never made a sound.

Suddenly claws of adamantium sliced through the whip and a hard fist swung Sam away from Maggie. Logan had arrived, his breathing even, but his eyes cold and calculating. This was a total different creature than the one Sam had helped created. Sam grinned at Logan, flicking the tazer open, the wicked points flickering with the power within.
"Welcome Weapon Ten, so good of you to show up,"
Logan gave him a grim grin,
"Scared of showing up yourself and now you send an android? I'm really disappointed in you Sammy, thought you had a bit more guts than a fish."
The android attacked, at the same time the person in the vehicle readied a weapon. Logan met the attack, making sure he stayed out of shot, three slices and a jump coupled with another slice and the soldier in the vehicle cowered backwards as the weapon that was supposed to take down even the Wolverine now lay in three pieces, with the android laying on the ground, its arms and head sparking as the body slowly toppled to the ground. Logan grabbed the man by his shirt front, he could hear Xavier trying to talk to him, but a snapped,
"Can it prof."
Earned him a mental sigh, he didn't care. He threw the soldier out of the vehicle and before he could react, Logan shoved two fingers between his teeth.
"Nahah, no quick poison for you bub. You are going to meet a special friend of mine."
Keeping the soldier's mouth open he yanked him to his feet and a quick hit to the temple rendered him unconscious. Then he turned his attention to Maggie, dragging the soldier closer with one hand he knelt down next to Maggie.
"Is this the part I tell you that you should have listened to me or should I wait before I scold you?"

Maggie watched him kicking some serious ass, but as everything stopped for a moment and he knelt beside her. She looked up at him, a soft smile on her face even if he was upset. "Logan...I have every right to fight him, we both do" She said simply. "He murdered my father, it took my father a week to finally die. Besides when I came to the school, he was getting ready to attack your friends and the students here. Was I supposed to just stand there and do nothing?" Maggie chuckled some placing her hand on his cheek.

She looked at him kindly as he helped her up.
"Logan you cannot always protect me, I take responsibility for my actions you know" She grunted some with the pain in her back. But she managed to relax as she wrapped her arms around him.

She smiled looking at them, but as they headed inside she stopped feeling something that Logan wouldn't be able to feel. It was like the earth was warning her, soon Sam popped back up again. Pushing Logan out of the way, she grabbed the mans whip as her anger took hold of her but as she held his whip electricity came from her hands, it was like mother nature took hold of her. When it was over Sam dropped to the ground, dead. Many students looked at what she had done, now they started to think she was a mutant and just found out, now she didn't know what she was.

He had to shield his eyes and when the body dropped to the ground he looked grimly at it,
"Well now, seems like you did have the guts to show up."
He turned to face Maggie,
"I think that attack would have made even Storm proud."
Why was he so calm about this? He shrugged it off as something he felt, only explanation really.

She laughed some as she took his arm in her own and walked to the study with him, she sat down running her fingers in her hair.
"If Sam did something to me so help me god..." She sighed.

"The only way to really find out is for Beast to run a test on you. I for one can not really tell if something else happened, but I can tell you that you are rather resilient for a human."

"Ive seen what humans can do to mutants and that scares me, what could he do to me? But he was just the ring leader." She looked at the professor.
"How have you not given up on humanity Charles? when I have and I'm human"

He listened to her and sat on the windowsill, he knew the answer, but it was best that Xavier told her. Xavier gave Maggie a gentle smile,
"Humanity is ever changing, they are capable of great things, but they have to go through a few processes to understand that not everything that is different is a threat."
He turned to Logan,
"Look at Nightcrawler, he looks much different than any human, but a kinder soul you will not find anywhere. A true pacifist, but when pushed in the wrong direction, he does take action, just like anybody else would."
Logan grunted,
"Some just need less pushing. Like me"
