Alexa Marie Hunnycut sat in the front row, wearing all black, at the funeral of her parents. They were flying their plane home from the Bahamas and had crashed, killing them both. Although her face was covered with a dark vale, everyone could see she shed no tears. In fact, rumor had it that she hadn’t shed a tear since the crash and had gone off with her biker boyfriend for several days following the crash.
So the black haired beauty was totally alone having no other family, although she wasn’t unhappy about that. She looked forward to living on her own without school, rules and the bitching that adults seemed to do to her. She was 20 years old, 5’5” and had the body of woman who always would stand out in a crowd, especially since she didn’t mind showing it off. Her eyes were dark and seductive, as were her rosy lips. Men gathered around her like flies and she enjoyed every bit of the attention.
Now back for the funeral, there was a lot of talk about what was to become of her. Everyone figured she probably would just spend her inheritance within weeks and then who knew what the girl would do. She was known for having a bad reputation with the boys, had recently been kicked out of the third college her parents had sent her too and probably wouldn’t bother going back. It was so disrespectful the way she had treated her parents and cared nothing about what people said about her were the thoughts of many. It was also rumored she had spent several nights in jail, but no one could ever verify that.
Alexa sat, knowing they were all talking about her, but she didn’t care. It wasn’t the first time and wouldn’t be the last. More than half the rumors they talked about they never got right anyway. Besides, she was rich now and could do anything she wanted, she could even sell the 500,000.00 home they lived in and buy herself something more to her taste. Of course she would let Rick, her boyfriend help her enjoy being rich. All these things ran thru her mind as the service proceeded and although she didn’t shed any tears, she was deeply sad that they had died.
After the funeral, many people came up giving her their condolences and telling her that if she needed anything, they were there for her. All she could think of was how two faced they were all being, because not one of them had offered any help, except Rick, especially the day she found out her parents had died. She couldn’t wait to get out of the funeral home, change into her jeans and shirt and go riding with Rick on his motorcycle. She didn’t want to think about any of this. Her parents had a an attorney, so she figured he could take care of everything and just get everything signed over in her name and be done with it.
She was just about thru with the guests and went to walk out the door when an older gentleman stopped to talk to her.
