Less than 24 hours ago, a report had filtered through the small bank about an alleged incident between a former administrative assistant and the owner's brother, the acting VP of the bank. Charles, the owner, was not in good health, and the expectation was that his brother would take over the day to day, even progress to CEO if Charles passed.
Now, while rumors of sale of the bank wafted through the institution, Myles was forced to deal with the stupidity and blatant actions of Charles' brother Stephen. According to the allegation, Stephen had accosted his admin in the vault, grabbed her buttocks in the VP offices, made lewd remarks and gestures and fired the girl when she would not give in. Now, this was only an allegation, but a creeping suspicion that there was more than the headline items had Myles worried about the bank and the jobs of everyone included.
