Finally figured it out!

I caught the last 20 minutes or so of the last debate between Gore and Bush and at one point Bush (looking rather silly I thought) raised his right hand and swore he would maintain the honor or something of the office he sought. Bashing Clinton in other words...

Anyway all through this whole campaign, I kept thinking of Bush, this guy reminds me of somebody...and for so long I couldn't think of who it was...dontcha just hate that? Drives me nuts!

Well it finally dawned on me...

The Johnny Carson character that wore a plaid coat and goofy hat...with his inane and reactionary right wing editorial rebuttals.
