I finally decided to toss a couple of stories on here, since I've read so many...:)

I've always been fond of NC stories, but absolutely abhor violence and pain being inflicted on the female subject AND hate stories where after being whipped, beaten, shocked, impaled, all of a sudden the woman finds herself orgasming and screaming for more...stupid.

SO, my quandary. How to write one? I tried...."Ask her if it was rape" so let me know how I did.

Also, tossed in a bonus called Undercover....just wrote down a fantasy I told my wife about...so when you see the names, Lee and Mary...that's us!

I just finished reading both stories. And, just to help you out a little, when you want feedback for your stories, it is always helpful if you provide a link for folks to click on. I know that, being new, it can be sometimes difficult to do. (hey, it was for me!) So, hopefully with your permission, I've done it for you...

I thought Undercover was the better of the 2 stories. You seemed more at ease, more in your element, and the story flowed better. It's late, so I really didn't look at the grammar and stuff. I will forego commens on that.

You wove an interesting story in "Undercover". Very erotic. Very nice. I would expect that you will get some good feedback from it.

In the non-consent story, you seemed hesitant. Now, to be honest, I had read your comments here first, and that might have clouded my thoughts while reading the story.

I think a good barometer for writing is to write what you feel comfortable with. You don't necessarily have to write on something you've had actual experience with, but if you are writing about a topic you feel uncertain about, it comes through to the reader. For me, I would have put this story in "Erotic Couplings" rather than "Non-Consent". It is very sexy, but it lacked the tension that builds in a non-consent story.

I love non-consent stories, as they are a fantasy of mine. I'm in the middle of writing my first one for Lit (have written several for private parties), and it is a difficult task - a balance between the believable and the erotic.

But to answer your quandry, you must first understand the fantasy and what it encompasses. I can only speak from the female POV. Basically, it is the idea of being overpowered, of being out of control that makes the fantasy. Pain? Violence? Yeah, I suppose they can be a part of the story - but not always. More often than not, non-consent begins in the mind. And stays there. Sure, there might be some spanking, maybe some nipple clamps, but the true fantasy revolves around control - and the lack of it for the woman.

The idea that a woman (or a man, for that matter) can be beaten, whipped, humiliated, and still have a fantastic orgasm can, in fact, be reality. People who do this, and I am one of them, are known as submissives. Part of their satisfaction in sexual situations revolves around the lack of control, and sometimes involves varying degrees of pain. When some one describes a scene where a woman is having nipple clamps placed on her nipples, and the clamps are biting into her flesh until she screams, I can relate to this. Also, the idea that she might be able to orgasm from this is not far-fetched. I can do just that, if I am aroused enough.

When you write a non-consent story, think more in terms of the woman finding herself in a position of being helpless, at the complete mercy of the man who is about to take her. Pain? Maybe, but not always. Resistance on her part, at least in the beginning, is essential. In the non-consent stories you find here at Lit, very few involve any real lasting cruelty. There are other sites that are far more graphic. But a certain level of cruelty can be very arousing to some people. Now, cruelty can be only in the mind, not necessarily a physical thing. It is important to remember that non-consent is more a mental things, than always a physical thing.

If you truly feel uncomfortable writing in this partical genre, which is what I picked up from the story, then it might be better to focus your talents on an area where you do feel comfortable. I mean this in a nice way, and hope you take it as such. But if an author is uncomfortable writing his/her material, it comes through to the reader.

But I do urge you to keep up the good work, and find areas where you can truly shine as a writer!

Thanks Chele, but...

You're right...I don't go for the submissive types of activities and obviously it shows, but I still have a couple of comments.

The whole BDSM genre is NOT a type of non-consentual lit. A submissive by nature is telling the whole world "whip me, chain me, I like it" in these types of situations. Or at least would not protest or resist. This is pure BDSM and it has never done anything for me.

The non-consentual part has always been the individual who TRULY does not want what is happening to be happening. And to create a scenario where that individual (woman, for me) would be fighting and trying to stop what is happening to her becoming a plot that can somehow be enjoyable is difficult, but for me titillating!

The pleasure/pain razor's edge is understandable. But for a truly non-consentual story (IMHO) there can't be this submissive edge to the "victim" and that's why I shy so far away from the whole "she felt her body respond to the whip"...or "as she got used to the pain..."

Thank you for the suggestions though....working on a ghost story.....
