Kayla thought for a moment. "First I was going to ask the king if he knew anything about my past. From then on is questionable."
"You don't know about your past?" Shana asked, intrigued.
"about a month ago" Kayla starts, "I was found in the small village of Poku. THey nursed me back to health and sent me on my way. I don't remember anything before that. All of my memories are from that village on." Kayla sighed. "Even my name I don't remember. Kayla is what maggie, a friend from the village, called me. I was named after a pet rabite she lost a while back."
"Interesting. and you don't remember anything at all?"

Shana followed Kayla as they headed to see the king. She studied him when he wasn't looking. He was quite handsome. She wondered if he had someone special from his past that he could not remember. She secretly hoped not. Keeping up with him she began to tell him a bit about herself "I don't remember anything from the ages of one and five. I lived in foster homes for most of my childhood then came to live with an old woman whom I came to care about. Then these men began looking for me, telling me I could lead them to a place of magic but I refused. Then they became nasty and began doing terrible things. So I left, I couldn't endanger my foster mother. Thats how I ended up here"

the king was intriqued. "Indeed young man, I have not heard of such an event, except perhaps in children stories told in our church."
"Forgive me sir, but could you relate to me these stories?"
"Indeed. 'twas a time of great suffering, and the elements of nature were in dissarest. Five knights of darkness arose and threatened to conquer the land. Then a chosen one awoke, to banish the land of these evils. Only by passing the five tests of couredge, strength, endurance, will, and sacrifice was he able to unlock the mysterious sixth element and seal the evils in prisons of crystals.'" the advisor was backing up nervously, inch by inch. "Indeed, Tis but a fairy tale to incite the minds of our youth, so I know not of it's rellivence."
"I understand. Forgive me your magisty for intruding, and thank you for your-"
"YOU!!!" the advisor was fuming, his face red. "I spent eternity escaping from that prison. You will not stop me again!" everyone looked at the advisor with puzzlement.
"Jacombi, What is the meaning of this?" the king demanded.
"You, my puppet, are no longer needed!" the advisor through a small knife, that impaled itself in the kings neck. Guards rushed towared Jacombi to avenge their king. With a howel however, all the guards were blown away. Shana rose and stepped back, her weapon drawn. Kayla was scared and confused. then Jacombi started laughing. "hahahahahahaHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I am most fortunate to have found you in your weakened state. When I defeat you than we will once again be unstoppable!" jacombi through off his robe, and kneeled. A sphere of brown energy surrounded him and began pulsating. Jacombi began glowing with an eery light, untill he exploded, leaving a brown, demon-like dragoon in it's place.
"Fissure blow!" a fissure oppened up in the ground, racing from the earth dragoon to Kayla, spewing rock from the opening in all direction.
With a shout of pure fear, a semi sphere of ice appeared infront of him, stopping the fissure shory. WIth another shout, the semishpere shattered and flew at the earth dragoon. he blocked the shards, but created a mist of dust in the proccess. While he recovered, everyone still alive could do nothing but watch as Kayla changed.
Horns grew out of his head. His eyes and hair turned blue. Wings sprouted and his feet changed into claws. His cloths and armors shattered and tore, falling in rags to the floor. Strangely, the red ribon tied around his forhead remained unscathed.
The earth dragoon recovered just intime to parry an attack from the transformed Kayla. they waged for a long time before locking claws in a deadlock. Then the earth dragoon got a good look into Kay'a;s eyes and soul. "Ethina? it was you all this time?"
a sword appeared in jacombi's chest, plunged to the hilt from behind by Shana. with a grunt of supprise, Jacombi lost his strength and collapsed backwards. "E-ethina my f-f-friend. wh-wh-why?.........." jacombi dissapeared. Kayla reverted back to human, nacked save for the ribbon on his head. Jacombi left behind 10,000 gil, and a strange brown crystal. Kayla and Shana watched as the crystal was absorbed into Kayla's chest, leaving a brown smidge next to the blue one. Then Kayla collapsed, unconcious.

The ground slightly parts creating a light show under the afternoon sun. Lifeforce sprays like a fountain around what appears to be the shape of a human body. Ethans eyes open for the first time gazing upon the beauty of the forest around him.
"I breathe again!" Ethan said taking in a deep breath.
Tha gash in the ground closes collapsin Ethan to the ground coughing. Where was he? and how did he get there. His last memory was of a battle lost and his life ended. Here not even a scar. All he was left with was a thirst for the blood of evil.
"Do not move stranger!" looking up Ethan saw three Galbadian soldiers. "What happened here? Were taking you to see our chief scientist he can explain this."
"I will not trek with you today, my quest awaits me." Ethan half smiled when the request was first stated. Ethan stared at the head soldier. "Evil lives deep in all of your hearts. I shall end your lives now sending you back to your creator. "
"In case you havent noticed your a bit outnumbe..."
Ethan grabbed a branch off a tree and speared it into the throat of the head soldier painting the ground red with the blood of evil.
He grasped the sword of the dying soldier chargingforward towards the other two guards. With two more quick slashes the fight was over. Ethan stood with blood spatters streaming across his face. He took one of the Galbadians bronze armor and the leaders broadsword. A streak of light spired from the ground with wrist armor suspended in it. A strange voice spoke.
"This will lead you to truth and the answers to all asked. Trust in your powers and save this world from itself."
Turning around Ethan saw galbadia through the clearing.
"So my journey begins" he said as he raced through the brush towards the unfarmiliar city.

Shana plunged the sword deep into the advisors back and he fell to the ground a look of pure surprise on his face. Shana frowned as he disapeared and Kayla turned back into a human. Then he collapsed. Hurrying to his side she did her best not to notice the fact that he was completely naked. She wasn't completely ignorant but she also had never touched a mans naked body. She turned to some gaurds. "Your king is dead, we are sorry but right now he needs help. Please we must take him someplace so that he may rest in peace" the gaurds looked at one another then nodded and stepped forward. They grabbed Kayla and gently carried him to a spare bed chamber where they layed him down on the bed. "Bring me some cool water, some wash cloths and some clothes if possible" she said quickly taking charge. The gaurds all nodded and left to do her bidding.

A feeling inside him panged at his heart, something was missing from deep inside. What was it. It was out there somewhere, at least that he surely knew and he would kill to get it. Am I immortal? Taking the broadsword he press'd it to his skin drawing out small droplets of blood.
"I bleed as a mortal but do I die as one? I guess time will be the teller of that tale."

What he saw made his knees buckle....
- The king was murdered !!
All around him blood and carnage were evident.
In the middle of the room stood a naked man with something.... something like a gem embedded in his chest, and the man was glowing with an eerie light.
Although he knew that whoever caused this mess could very likely kill him in a sec he didn't hesitate.
- D-drop your weapons and surrender. You are arrested for high treason against the crown. C-come quietly and nobody will get hurt !!
The man turned his gaze towards Lionheart and with smoldering eyes measured him up and down ....

As Ethan awoke in the morning his fire died out. The cold hit him fast and hard. A light broke through the ground as an old man stood before him.
"Ethan, you were once a great warrior! Now you our a most sacred incarnate. You will recieve a quest in Galbadia, you must accept it! The fate of the Gaia depends on it!"
Ethan stood in disbelief, Incarnate? This old man had most obviously gone mad in his old age.
"What rubish do you speak of? You old poor man, I pity you."
Rage bore in the mans eyes. "I am Ramuh! Eidolon of Lightening! How dare you speak to me in such an insolent tone!"
Lightening drove Ethan onto his knee's grasping his chest in pain.
"I may be an old man but I am your earth guide. For this you will respect me!" The lightening stopped and the man was gone.
"Galbadia, I always hated that city. At least I may find a decent platemail in the local shoppe."
Four of the five stones were now glowing on his wrist. Ethan rose to his feet and bagan to tread down the path towards the city. With no money and vague memory he headed towards his fate. That of which he did not know.
As Ethan awoke in the morning his fire died out. The cold hit him fast and hard. A light broke through the ground as an old man stood before him.
"Ethan, you were once a great warrior! Now you our a most sacred incarnate. You will recieve a quest in Galbadia, you must accept it! The fate of the Gaia depends on it!"
Ethan stood in disbelief, Incarnate? This old man had most obviously gone mad in his old age.
"What rubish do you speak of? You old poor man, I pity you."
Rage bore in the mans eyes. "I am Ramuh! Eidolon of Lightening! How dare you speak to me in such an insolent tone!"
Lightening drove Ethan onto his knee's grasping his chest in pain.
"I may be an old man but I am your earth guide. For this you will respect me!" The lightening stopped and the man was gone.
"Galbadia, I always hated that city. At least I may find a decent platemail in the local shoppe."

Geri slept . She dremt that she was flying high in the sky and suddenly fire rose from her fingertips and she burnt the sky. "what the..." Geri started but then fire lept from her thoart and she was ingulfed with fire though she did not get burnt . She woke up with a start and lept into Drake's open arms ... "what happened???"
Ethan
As Ethan walked through the gates he couldn't help but feel uneasy. All the townspeople were staring at him in awe
"I have been found out! I will be killed for sure"
Two soldiers gave him a salute. Thats right, he was wearing the garments of the soldier, obviously an important one at that. A soldier approached.
"Captain you did not return last night. You can clean up in your quarters. We will have a clean uniform for you promptly."
Ethan chuckled as the soldier escorted him to the captains room. Upon entering he found a bath drawn and a fresh change of clothes.
"Will you be ready to depart tonight? Or shall we postpone the meeting?"
Meeting? The quest, my fate... "Yes I will be ready if given a moments privacy."
With that the soldier left and Ethan stood there. Alone.
"You better be right old man."
