*peering around the door frame*

*GO! GO! GO! my mind shouts*

If you are reading this, you must have found the map to my little corner of the playground. Welcome, you too must be an introvert.

I know how playgrounds can be. It takes a lot of energy to be here. Not only from the social anxiety we feel, but if you are anything like me you feel all the emotions of others around you, absorbing them. It can become overwhelming.

You are not alone. Unless you want to be.

I have tried to wander out into the playground, tried to connect with people. It's hard. But I am going to keep trying. I figure there has got to me at least one other person out there like me.

And maybe this time, it is okay for me to be me. And stop trying to be what I think someone else wants, or to think that I am not good enough just the way that I am.

So, welcome to this corner.

For me, I am going to grab a cup of hot tea and a theology book. Enjoy.

Oh, one last thing... return the map so others can find this place.

I am in a dilemma right now.

I cannot decide if I am happy or sad that no one has come to visit. Have a great weekend. Everyone...

Ahh...hello, fellow introverts. What a lovely retreat - love what you’ve done with the place. The reading nook is especially perfect.

Thank god it isn’t a party, because I’d be doing a French exit. Anyone else guilty of those? ;)

Always be who you are. If people have a problem with it, that's their problem.

I hate people.

I do all I can to avoid as many as possible as often as possible.

I can go for days without seeing another person ... in person. I have gone a week or more.

I'm a nerd that spends more time with human beings on the internet than in reality.

I probably belong here.
